According to the test patch notes:

Items collected from the 'old' Ethernaut Relics collection now apply to the 'new' Ethernaut Relics collection. The 'old' Ethernaut Relics collection has been deleted.

Can anyone explain what this is going to mean? I spent many hours acquiring my relics!

I assume that means that if you are working on the collection, and have some pieces that they will transfer to the new version?

Forgive the n00bish question, but why do I have two Relics of the Ethernauts collections in my journal, both of which seem to be exactly the same?

And since its just patched to Test, be patient and shortly it should fix the issue on Live, where anything you've already collected should be applied to the new version and the old one will poof.

Poking me head in with my monk I went to palace. I was told that a group went in and found no shinys. I looked around and fd. I saw no shinys at all. Is this a bug? or is this how things will be. Will we no longer see the relic collection farmers on their corner selling their collection?

More information on this would be good. Will this mean I'll be able to do it twice since there will be a new collection? Will the reward be changed? And if I have 'old' pieces for sale, will they turn into new pieces or will they become worthless?

I do not think there is "new collections" replacing the old one. The bug that cause people to have two relic collections is being fix. Instead of a gm fixing it they are fixing it game wide. Now in Palace they are removing the shinys that everybody been farming for months. So the price on the collections should go up.

So the actual collection pieces aren't changing? Or will the one I have up for sale suddenly be worthless? If I haven't started this on a char yet, should I try to finish it before it goes live, or should I wait?

I am really trying to understand the repercussions of what this means.

It means that if you were one of the people who had two different collections in your journal (Due to some file issues) they should be merged. If you have one , then nothing will change. The collection items are not changing, just the collection itself.

Thank you for clarifying this, Kander.

After reading this thread, I petitioned on this issue yesterday. This morning, it was all resolved: the duplicate collection was gone, Sturdy Trail Boots were sitting in my inventory (where I could have broker'd them, if I'd wanted to) & a note in my e-mail explaining that GMs had taken care of it.

Thanx, guys. It's nice to see someone's listening
