I figured this question belonged here.

I am doing the Maj'Dul citizenship quests, and I was looking at the housing. The Affluent 3 Bedroom looked rather small. Does anyone know how it compares to a Similiar size Qeynos/Freeport house? If it's smaller I might as well spend the money and buy a 5 bedroom Qeynos house instead.

I know I recently saw on EQ2Decorators.com that there was a 5 room house listed in Maj'Dul. I haven't been by the city to try and find it, but here are the details given.

A Maj'Dul Mercenary Residence Rooms: 5Vault/Vendor Slots: 5Buy: 96g, 60 Upkeep: 3g, 86s, 40c Item Limit: 500

I've never seen any 5 room houses in Maj'dul, and the list on EQ2Traders only has up to 3 rooms listed, and that list has been pretty accurate from my experience. Since the 3 rooms cost over 1 plat to buy and the 5 room you've quoted is only 96g, I'd suspect the information is inaccurate. However, it would be very nice to get the information confirmed -- I've been interested in decorating a Maj'dul house and a 5 room would be more fun .

Nice thought. If it is real I will have to look into it. When I was in Maj'Dul over the weekend touring the housing, I never saw it. That does not mean it does not exist, it just means I never saw it.

The Maj Dul houses are in fact quite small, and another issue...the floor and walls are buggy when you place rugs and tapestries on them. They will cut off corners badly when you try decorating depending on where they are on the floor; I don't know if the floors aren't completely flat, but the cutting in makes it look kinda bad and can be annoying to decorate around.

The Maj'Dul housing always made me feel clostrophobic (spelling) I guess it was the lack of windows or a balcony..anyway it's the only city I have no houses in, they just feel too cramped.

I ran around Maj'Dul for several hours last night and was unable to find anything larger than a 3 room. It's highly dissapointing that such a great idea as housing there overlooked adding larger homes. They are indeed very small and while the lack of windows does not bother me (I've done a lot of Neriak homes) what does is no sense of the outside. Just taking an existing home and adding an outdoor courtyard (think Qeynos 3 room) would be wonderful!
