Selelcting from drop down - tried several different characters. Goes into loading then get little window (the one that usually says 'log in server #1 or whatever) flashes really quick with "Venekor not found" then hangs at the usual message of loggin server # but it never get's past #1

if I select no character from the drop down, that part that usually takes you to the character select/creation screen it shows no characters and asks if I want to make one

If I go in through the "back door" (ie. using the Everquest2 application) I get the same results.

I've been using the same program for months, it has not been moved and the only updates have been Sony's. If there are no other problems, then I will do a file repair (should have done that before posting this - sorry)

OK, went through my eq2 directory and tried all the applications - for some reason the EQ2 application worked this time (as opposed to the "Play the Fay" one which was older. It is kinda odd, as they both use the other files, and I did try the Everquest2 application on it's own as well (which normally will work too)

Wish I could figure out why silling Vista will allow me to put "run as administrator" on all the applications except EQ2.exe... if I rename it to something like EQ22.exe then I can - perhaps they have something against the name or the number of letters in the name?
