I am raiding Venril Sathir atm and the healers are saying no pets because of the power issues. Is this true? Will VS wipe us if the pets fall below 30% power?

I quit back in Oct. and just came back. Unless the encounter is bugged or changed, then the answer should be no. I used my pet and there were no issues. We killed VS many times and no issues with the conj or myself having our pets fighting (no matter what level the pets power was at, it didn't trigger his wrath to wipe the raid). Which was nice, since I could still let my pet dps, while I rezzed those who may have died or take time to cure myself etc...

total rubbish , pets power pools have absolutely no effect on the encounter....

HOWEVER - if you use your pet AOE immunity which uses power and you get hit with mana sacrifice you have just wiped your raid. Go SOE - another anti summoner raid mob where you will have to recast your pet due to aoe deaths or use your tank pet to survive the aoe and put out crapolla dps.

And quite frankly it's stupid to give up 5 points in shadows so you can cure Nox. Not sure if you noticed yet but that BS nox cure AA gives you 18 levels of nox per point spent. You have to put at least 5 points into it to cure lvl 80+ nox. 5 AA's to cure nox off your pet is the biggest waste of points since Filter Life...

(I spike into the 20's on large linked encounters.. and I really don't like tanking without my Solo spec and gear)2) Lifeburn and Dumbfire Burnout cause massive spike hate. Without as much Hate reduction as possible you will rip agro off the tank constantly. As it is with Soothing and a Troubador and a couple pieces with Hate reduction and an Illusionist I can still yank agro off anything but an SK without even trying on both single targets and linked encounters.3) If you use Bloodpact you will never have to cure your pet in the first place.4) Only being able to cure Nox while spending 5 AA's in the highest AA line is fricken stupid.
If you have ACT or someone in the raid with ACT and voice chat turned on you can get warnings when the AOE's are due. Then you can toggle between Blood Pact on/off. Face it, unless you are using your tank pet or a mythical epic pet theyare going to die on pretty much every AOE without Blood Pact. VS encounters are more about power managment than dps anyway and necro's are masterful at managing their own power. A good necro who is paying attention will never (almost never, anyway) be responsible for wiping a VS raid.

At 9k to 12k dps I am no where near the top or even in the top 5 for my raid force and really its kind of rediculus to think that, Oh and my tanks have a clue and aside for lag causing issues I have not, and aside form a double cast bolt of ice from a wiz ever seen arro pulled off the tanks unless a script/ memwipe was involved. since assasins, illys and coercers start at about 11k dps and jsut go up from there with the wizards follwing behind them well into the high teens and even 20k's yet do not pull aggro off the tank. Really personal hate modification comes down to how good your tanks are to determine their value.

Where the Cure will actually save time or a player once in a while its relaly not a difficult descision there. Oh and that actually counts as utility which a small bone they threw us.

Compas

80 Necromancer

Unrest
