Ok, so I read the sticky in this forum about the bruiser specific AAs, and I have a few questions.

Firstly, is there an ultimate bruiser tanking spec? One that's going to give you the most bang for your buck? I'm just starting out in EQ2, and so far I'm only lvl 18, so I admittedly don't know alot. The one that's listed in the sticky is this (so you don't have to switch windows ):

Tank BuildConditioning: Ignore Agony (5), Tenacious Will (3), Vigorous Spirit (5), Hardened Skin (5), Stone Deaf (4), Retribution of Stone (1)Attention: Impose (5), Taunt (5), Rescue (6)Knockouts: Shoulder Charge (3), Haymaker (3), Knockout Combination (5)This would give you the biggest increase to the mitigation abilities, as well as the "stoneskin on riposte". The three taunt increases are obvious enough, and the extra damage would help with aggro too, especially KC.Brawler AA's: In this case, having a higher riposte helps proc that stoneskin. So Strength 4, 4, 8, 8 and Intelligence 4, 4, 4, 5, 8 would emphasize the parrying and riposte bonuses, as well as Intelligence's mitigation boost.Oh... and it's been stated that 20% of parries are ripostes... so increasing parry is key here too

But now this brings up another question. Where is says Strength 4, 4, 8, 8 and Intelligence 4, 4, 4, 5 8, does that refer to the specific Tiger and Eagle trees in the brawler AA section? Meaning you'd get 4/8 Tiger Str, 4/8 Pressure Pnt, 8/8 Relentless Punches and 8/8 Claw Reversal? Applying respectfully to the Eagle line also. I'm just looking for clerification in that respect I guess. Also, when you get these abilities, does this mean you're not getting the end AAs for Tiger and Eagle? Just all of the ablities leading up to them? Or is it assumed that once you put so many points into a tree, it's a duh to get the end one?

I think as my last question for right now (I'm sure I'll think of more later ><, I notice that I have a free reset button for my AAs per no cost. What is the cost of resetting your AAs after you've used this button? Is it AA exp, money, adv exp?

Oh, I lied, I did just think of one last question. Assuming that I've understood everything correctly (doubt it) of what I've posted above, for leveling, which would you go into first? The Bruiser AAs, or the brawler ones?

Ok now I'm done. Any help you experienced bruisers can offer a helpless newb would be very appreciated, I just want to understand and play my class as well as possible

The thread you read is way out of date. There are no Exact specs listed anywhere because AA's and combat mechanics are changing so frequently.

For tanking on teh brawler line go STR AGI INT, for bruiser tree get all the left side stuff for retribution of stone, and all the right side stuff for Drag. For Shadows tree the choices are pretty obvious, get the tanking abilities. Theres alot more info on flames than here, but alot of our AA"s are going to change if this fighter revamp goes through.

But I don't understand the reason to go intelligence and not agility >.> (Intelligence increases spell damage and Wisdom is what increases your resistance to magic)

For the Brawler Tree you get one free AA then you can get a ingame item, a card type looking doohiky, that will allow 5 free respecs to the brawler tree. But after that it's 10g a respec I believe.

And for starting out AA's at lower level I went down the damage line of the bruiser AA tree (except drag and only 1 point in intimidation) and then went on to the brawler line (Strength -> intelligence -> wisdom -> agility) and currently working on filling my shadow's aa hehe
