I think I've found the answer to the first question, but just to clarify, I am about to buy myself a second PC, a laptop, and I want to play my new and shiny EQ2 account on that computer sometimes when I'm stuck sitting with my disabled son in the living room. (Watching the same episode of Family Guy over and over and over again makes this mom a little crazy!) I'd like to be able to play on there when I can't be in here. (I am really addicted, by the way...) Is this okay? Can I do this without causing any trouble? The account would only be running on one computer or the other since they are both mine.

Also, if this is okay, are there any files that must be transfered to the laptop that are on the desktop (character info or anything) in order to play the same characters? Or is this a case of - I would be better off playing a new separate character - on the laptop? For instance, logging in my same account and playing a character I made specifically for the laptop instead of playing my main that I usually play on the desktop.

Or, am I over-complicating everything, as usual?

Greetings,

All of your characters are stored on our servers so that you can access them from any computer without transferring any files. You'll just need to set up your UI windows again since those are saved on your computer.

When looking at laptops for Everquest 2, the main thing to keep in mind is the video card. Most laptops will use an integrated graphics chip, and those chips will have a hard time playing the game in many cases. A laptop with an actual graphics card would be ideal, but a fairly recent chip and enough extra RAM(2+GB) should allow you to play at a reasonable level of performance.

Hello and thanks for the reply TSR-DanielH!

Yay! That's exactly what I wanted to know, thank you so much!

Also, thank for the info about the graphics card. I had already guessed about needing the separate card. I had to replace a desktop last year and that came up.

Thank you very much!!!
