Hi, i have always liked SKs and have played them and brigs on and off since release....however, since i have been "on and off" with the game I have never gotten past the lvl 30's.

So, I was wondering what a good partner for me (my wife) would be. She likes the survivability of plate of plate healers and she also likes ranged damage....she has a fury so that is not an option. She wants to try an Inquistor (melee) or a warlock. My only concern is will she steal aggro if she starts nuking away with AEs as a lock?

Has anyone tried duoing with either class? Any opinions or suggestions?

Thanks!

I guess I'd just say that it depends a bit on what you want to be able to do with the duo. If you want to take on the hardest possible content that a duo can reasonably work on I'd go the Inquis/SK. Without a healer the toughest stuff will just not work.

On the other hand, if you are more concerned about running quests and lots of solo content then you will mow through it faster with the SK/Lock combo.

Either of those classes is fine with the SK for a good combo. I'd also say necro and fury are great duo partners with an SK. My 2cp.

I play a melee inquisitor with my boyfriend's SK, and it is one of our strongest duos tbh. Both of them are in full DPS gear and we mow through most stuff with no probs at all. The DPS buffs from the inq are great stuff and as long as I keep the single target reactive up on the SK we usually have no probs at all, even against ^^^heroics.

Safe, solid combo.

Nimb - do you use the dirge as added DPS or just a buff bot?

Just starting to learn how to dual box and am looking for more of a "buff bot" for my SK initially, then maybe get InnerSpace + Keyclone if I like it and want to get more advanced.

Thoughts?

Huh? When I dual box I either switch between two computers or tab between two sessions running on one box.....How do you do this with just one guy?

I do recall seeing ppl in WOW have like 6 or so characters stacked on each other just WTFPWNING things.....

I would love to play my SK and my wifes INQ like that when she is not able to play...thereby keeping us at the same lvl and on track with the quests.

I believe they are talking about 2 computers and 2 people (husband/wife combo) both playing their own toons.

NO, I play 2 toons, two computers, with one keyboard and mouse to control both,,,,,the mouse icon scrolls across both monitors so which ever screen the cursor is on is the one im controlling at the time. Ive really become quite proficient at it.

Sounds good, I would if I could. My dirge needs some attention! hehe

I meant that I thought the OP was talking about 2 PCs. Seems he does both sometimes. 2 PCs and sometimes 2 sessions on 1 PC.

I'm enjoying troub/sk quite a bit here. The dirge has better defensive buffs, though.

2 boxing, get Keyclone from Solid ICE Tech. One comp, one screen, one key press that sends it to up to multiple accounts simlutaniously. Guy on WoW ran ~26 toons with keyclone. I've run it, works great. Dualboxing.com is also a great resource which was stated earlier.

SK+Inquis or Fury. DPS healers are great to duo with.

Kil~

I found that an SK and a Templar are a nice team... My bro and I pretty much duoed from 40-80... My tap heals and his reactive heals rocked on nameds...Not to mention clerics get some crazy Melee Crit AAs

I'm kind of on the fence here myself - I can't decide between going with a dirge or an inquisitor as a partner for my SK. Couple quick questions for those of you who play either of these combos:

1. which pair could take on standard heroic mobs best?

2. which pair would be able to complete solo line quests faster (i.e. kill mobs quicker)?

3. any other comments or feedback is welcomed-

I'd say that the Inq is better, heals and they can go down their Melee specs... They have some proc abils with damage on them that would be nice for heroic mobs and etc

I two box with my SK/Inq no problems and my Inq is a gnome so i just change him to clockwork form and have no issues with obstructive views or anything.

Also dont forget the Inq can use plate armour, this can be very handy.

melee inquis (get a mirror so you can switch for a healing sec when needed to group).

Mystic is also a realy good choice.
