Calling All Artists!!

<p>The Norrathian Interior Design feature is up and running and oh so very healthy!</p><p>After a bit of discussion and a LOT of thought on how best to show off the talents of our fan artists, I think it would be really neat to do a similar feature for all of you.</p><p>So here's what we'll do <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" /></p><p>Please send up to six of your works to the SOE Fan Art email (you can always send more and be featured more than once, so never fear if you have way more than six, or if you have less than six either! It's all welcome!):</p><p>Send the email to <a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a> and put "EQII Fan Art" in the subject line of your email (and since it's EQII Fan Art, please keep it EQII related <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" />).</p><p>Be sure to include your Forum Handle, your in-game name and a link to a website where you showcase your work.</p><p>The image you send us should be no bigger than 400k.  If you have multiple images you may send them as a .zip which should not exceed 1.5mb. Acceptable formats are:</p><ul><li>Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG)</li><li>Bitmap (BMP)</li><li>Graphical Interchange Format (GIF)</li></ul><ul><li>Please try to make the screenshots as high quality as possible.</li><li>All material submitted must be reviewed.  If we have any questions, we will contact you.</li><li>Please remember to keep a copy for yourself as we do not archive these materials.</li><li>SOE may use, modify, distribute or display any submission, in whole or in part, in its sole and absolute discretion.</li></ul><p>We won't limit this to just artwork or screenshots!  If you write fan fiction, we can post that as well.  If you make videos (like the excellent <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=434804" target="_blank">TSO trailer</a> that kartikeya made) we can do that as well! </p><p>Just please remember for all submissions that content is important.  Swearing, overly sexual situations, and anything else we wouldn't allow on the forums won't be used.  Keep it PG, please folks <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" /></p>

<p>Where will fan art submitted here be displayed? I have submitted work over the last year and am curious why I haven't heard anything. Is the fan art system being revamped?</p>

<p>Do you have a size limit? (pixel and/or memory)</p><p>What is the max size images are posted?</p><p>(I ask because I could submit a super high quality image just to have it reduced to crud if it is resized by your servers.. and we dont want that!  :p)</p>

<p>I post them up when I have enough of them to make a nice sized feature out of them (one is actually going up this week!).</p><p>The full sized image should be no larger than 400k...  We'll create a thumbnail that will click through to the full sized image <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>Try to remember to send in which server you're on as well, please!</p><p>This week's Fan Art feature has a lot of nice work in it and I'd like to thank everyone who submitted!!</p>

<p>Absolutely on-going.</p><p>When I've gotten enough submissions to make a healthy feature, I post.  In fact, I should have enough for one very soon!</p>
