<p>Hello all,</p><p>I'm looking for help determining what is possible with the macro system.</p><p>Is it possible to create a check to see what I have equiped and use a different skill depending on that check? Is it possible to create a macro to change gear choices? How would one do this? What other macros did you find usefull on your paladin while leveling up?</p>

MACRO ASSISTANCE GUIDE 101: HARVESTING: Create Macro (use the one that looks like a question mark) change from command to 'use ability' start with harvesting, this covers your ability to get shinies, then depending on what you harvest most put that second, for me it was mining, (armorer, plus silicates go for 3pp plus on my server). should be the use abilities in this order for me use ability Harvesting(shoot, or is it gathering? at work, but you will see what i mean) use ability mining use ability foresting use ability trapping use ability fishing When you try to fish a group, your say channel will say 'you can not use that ability on your target', just ignore it, its trying to use the first 4 first, but by having all 5 macro'ed you just roll up on any node and click C1 (on my keyboard) and it goes through all the use abilities <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> 2. Do you use Divine Aura? It's on a 5 minute timer, so let your healer know, depending on your healer and group, this is mine. creat another macro, using the guy shouting: use ability divine aura now add a command, /g DA ACTIVATED (Let's prolong my death <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> you will get creative with this one, just let people know, most healers will know what divine aura is. 3. holy touch: create macro (i use hand healing) use ability holy touch (or your appropriate level quick save heal) command line: /g I have "touched" %T in a very "Holy" way, turn your backs if you are offended. (5kish instant health, 5 min. recast). this tells the healers you saw target at 40% or less and wanted to keep it alive. So you healed them. Healers will take that offensive and appreciative as they feel like you were not confident in them, so.. by humoring it up, it takes the offensiveness out of it(subliminal). To explain %T. %T in any line will replace %T with the current target. SO, if your targeting a player that players name will come up. If you are targeting the mob, it will put the mob in the place of %T but your holy touch works through the mob on any group /raid member. As well as your prayer line. You can ward your other members as well. 4. Paladin buffs: I created a macro for each of my group member buffs, so when i cast them, the group knows that you have added Proccing damage, and what it is, also that you have added heal crit and mitigation to their stats. This is not as important as it is in lower levels, as you grow, your groups are pretty sure what buffs they are getting. 5. most important , to me anyways, is macro your amends target. create macro: I use guy sitting there. use ability amends use command line: /g Amends on %T, 41% Hate transfer to me, DO NOT deaggro him please. /r Amends on %T. /t %T You have amends, please go all out! And remind me if you die to reapply during the fight. When you are not in a raid, your say channel will simply say in raid chat color, "You are not in a raid". I think you get the idea, and there are soo many people that macro taunts associated with their damage spells, great idea with your single target clarion, to macro it with a few spells, but i personally don't do that, i know what i want to hit when, so i hit it as i need it. one more thing, right click on your hot bar and click "ADD A NEW HOTBAR". I use about 7 hot bars regularly, but I have one hot bar that is scrollable, that way I can scroll through, one of them is my equipment. steps to do this... leave all your tanking gear in your bag, NOT ON YOUR BODY. then, place that gear on your hot bar in order, helm, cloak, shoulders, so on, till you have put your single slot items on one bar. Now scroll through to a different clear hot bar, and do the same with all your dps items. *** Careful <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />) If you put 2 rings items on, it wont know which slot to put them on, so either you have to create a macro for it, or just simply replace those as needed. Remember, you can not change ring/most items when your in the middle of a fight. Your secondary/primary slots do allow change though, so macro your secondary slot for sure. You have to remember to keep the item you want to equip in your bag, not on your body, or it will be screwed up. example: I use a bow for tanking/dpsing as a fighter. At times though, I am not tanking and i need to mitigate my aggro, I have an item called edict of the whispered wind out of chelsith, this is your best freind, as it procs prevent aoe, and 50% hate decreaser. So, i macro this equip item - (place the tablet in the box, and click ranged slot) so you dont accidentally place it in your shield slot, that sucks <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> when you change back to your bow, simply place bow on hot bar as it can only go in the ranged slot.
