I just installed new components and installed Vista 64 bit fresh and ever since then EQ2 crashes with no error messages to the desktop only saying it has stopped working. Here's my dxdiag stuff below. EQ2 ran just fine with Vista Home Premium 32bit. Any help would be appreciated! Nice to know I'm not the only one having this issue. I just installed Ultimate 64 as well, and while I'm still in the process of getting everything back to normal, I did fire up EQ2 a couple times and had it crash.

While Vista 64 tends to be somewhat unstable by nature in my experience, I haven't run into any problems specific to Everquest 2 with my 64 machine. Let's make sure it's not a standard Vista issue first, though I imagine most people have already tried these steps:1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. In the "Compatibility Mode" area check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"5. In the drop down list make certain that "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" is selected.6. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.7. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".8. Right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"Assuming the problem persists after trying the above, what graphics settings are you running at? Have you tried scaling back your graphics settings to the minimum to see if that allows you to access the game?
