Hi, im new to Everquest II, and i have decided to buy the all in one compilation back , The Shadow Odyssey.

Got it delivered this morning, opened it up, put the disk in and started installing. About 5 minutes later:

Feature: Everquest II

Component: Common

File: E:data2.cab

Error: Data error (Cyclic redundancy check).

I thought ok, kinda wierd... so i tried it again. The same message appeared.

I looked at the data base, all it said was to digitally install EQ II, but why should i when i just payed for the disks????

I then decided to change installing location, as i would of guessed, it said:

Feature: Everquest II

Component: Common

File: E:data2.cab

Error: Data error (Cyclic redundancy check).

Is there any solution for this? I feel i have wasted my money at the moment anyway.

Thanks.... // Mike

Ok i have decided to use the digital installing.

I entered the key to get my shadow odyssey all in one pack activated and that worked.

I double clicked on the eqII icon on my desktop to sign in and guess what.

I need to pay for my subscription? I got it on the box right here "30-day subscription included", why do i have to pay MORE just to update / install the game, and then play it..... please someone reply

If you cancel the subscription prior to the end of 30 days you will not be billed for anything. Been like that since release. It also states that a valid credit or game card is required.
