I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to have a macro where your HOT or primary heal is targetted at a generic group memeber (ie the same as pressing F2 or F3) rather than having to type their name next to the spell?

I'm looking to through a quick heal at a player within my group but still keep the MT target targetted.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Profit UI

http://www.eq2interface.com/downloa...itUIReborn.html

You can heal/cure without losing your primary target. It's helpful, but doesn't replace knowing who needs a heal..when (lol)

The default UI allows you to do this.

For instance - I have a pretty steady group that I deal with.

I have one hotbar that has only spells built to heal the main tank. When you right click a spell on your bar, and click create macro, you can type in the targets name and then add the regular spell back to your bar for generic healing.

I also have Revenance setup to direct target my main Assassin and Wizard. (And a generic).

I find that this saves a LOT of time, especially since sometimes the UI is buggy and you can click a target health bar/name OVER AND OVER again and never leave the previous target.

I am so stuck on my usual method which is just pressing the "f" key associated with a group member and using the number keys to send the right heal off. This works great except when things get hairy and a lot of the group is dying.

This allows me to click-cast heals on the rest of the group while throwing heals out to the MT without thinking about it.

I wish there was a way to call an "F" key in a macro. I could have the baddest setup that way.

Just have 6 hotbars setup with each key macro'd to the associated "F" key. Identical hotbars on top of each other. Instead of pressing an "F" key, I could just click the correlated hotbar to send a heal to that group member. This would eliminate my pre-targeted macros permanently.

I used a system like that in WoW on my priest and it's SOOOO much easier.

And of course, you can switch between UI configs for different scenarios.

I find profit to be pretty close to useless, but it's a nice try.

What I've done is kind of how profit should be. I actually made 3 hotbars and place them lengthened out maximally horizontal, stacked under the group members names. My first hotbar is my single target cure, and there are 6 of them, one under each members names. My second bar right under that is my quick heal, also 6 of them stacked. And my 3rd is my large heal. Each cure/heal is a macro that targets the group member and casts the spell.

With the ability to resize icons and hotbars I made them custom sized so they are not too large, but also not too small like profit. This allows me a quick click to cure, small heal or large heal any member of my group including myself, a SINGLE click and that group member is cured/healed, it makes me extremely fast.

I'll have to post a screenshot of it as I'm not at my main PC atm.

Profit ftw. though spine is right the icons could be a bit bigger. that's probably customizable though.. i'd figure out how if i wasn't so lazy.

Having multiple hotbars up that do the same thing seems like alot of work and alot of clutter. but each to his own.

I love profit, however the group window I find alittle off for my taste. I just recently changed my group window into this.

http://www.eq2interface.com/downloa...rmagedirge.html

Works great so far. I just have to get used to my characters name not being on the group window (like profit).
