Good time to betray?

<p>Hello all, future new necromancer here.  Made a wood elf conji with complete intent to betray (love my woodies)  She is 11 now got everything locked most likely till at least 20 so I can pump out the AA's for awhile.  My question is, is there a good time I should betray? I was thinking about just waiting until I had enough AA's for tainted heals (also would like to possibly be at least 15ish so betraying to Neriak is easier)  I'm just running out of steam a bit though, I find this conji extremely boring...not sure how much longer I can stick it out.  I'm assuming necro is much more fun?  I hear and have read very good things about the class so I am eager to try...Are both pretty much the same until tainted heals?  Any advice/comments are welcome thanks!! <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/908627bbe5e9f6a080977db8c365caff.gif" border="0" /></p>

<p>Well I don't know what your play schedule is, but I'd suggest starting a new necro toon. The betryal quest itself is a huge pain and some 80's loathe doing it. It'd be faster to roll a new toon that way you can keep your conji.</p><p>Honestly though, I'd roll a dirge or chanter if you don't like sitting on LFG for hours on end.</p>

<p>If you really want to betray to a Necro, might as well do it now. You can still keep yourself locked and grind aa while still getting a feel for Necros, etc. As for betraying to Neriak... yea... it's <em>SLIGHTLY</em> easier to betray to Neriak than Freeport, but that's just my opinion. When I betrayed my High Elf from Conjy to Necro... the Neriak betrayal turned out much easier than when I betrayed from Illy to Coercer.</p><p>Other than that... it's all on how you like to play. Because summoners don't have as much to offer groups, they sometimes get passed up. Also, there are a few other issues both summoners have, like dumbfire pets getting wiped on an aoe the second you cast them... etc. Still, if you can get past some of the minor issues, and don't mind getting passed up for groups sometimes, I think you'll find playing a Necro quite fun. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<p>Well, I'm coming from an SK, Swashy,Fury and Assasin and just lookin for purely solo with the necro to play around with when I'm feeling anti social!!  I did the betrayl to neriak once before with my high elf assasin, I didn't think it was that bad except for the fact she was 12 so a lot of the stuff still agroed but other then that it was OK and I I love my wood elves!  But anyways just wasn't sure if both classes were pretty much the same up intil a certain point in the game so it wouldn't really be worth while to betray until i got higher up and enough points for tainted heals or if there would already be a huge difference in play style at these early lvls...</p>

<p>It's been a very long time since I betrayed... and I did it at lvl 15, but I can't really recall any major differances in play between conjy and necro at a low lvl. If you really want a Wood Elf Necro, head over to Timorous Deep as they don't agro good aligned players... unless something changed, lol. Like Dedmage said, you can get some nice AA over there. The only real reason I'd say stay lvl locked and betray now would be so it's less hassle resetting everything later plus some of the betray quests, paticuarly the assination quests, award decent aa to lower lvls. Well that an personal bias of necro > conjy. LoL. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> But that's just my opinion. <p>wait till you get invis(lvl 15?)  and make sure you kill the bounty names,  they are no longer required by they still give pretty good aa.   if your looking to solo then necro will be the most straight forward mage class in game.</p>

<p>If it was me I would wait until lvl 20 with enough aa for tainted heals for your lvl 20 spell lifetap will make difference for it heals you where conj don't have anything like that.</p><p>I know this for everytime I get bored sometimes and play my conj I keep looking for some way to heal myself.</p>
