View Full Version : New Idea For Fighters' Offensive Stance

<p>Ive been looking over the new fighter goodies on test, and i see that the offensive stance cancels taunts. Well instead of just making our taunts useless in offensive stance, how bout they're converted into pure damage? It is supposed to be an OFFENSIVE stance ya know, and its not like we have the DPS we should.</p><p>I think it would be a good idea, it still would make a tank needed to be in balanced/defensive stance, since theres also a % decrease in your hate gain, and you gain a % of more damage in offensive stance.</p><p>What do others think?</p>

That place turned into something ugly thanks to a couple people.</p><p>You can comment wherever you want ... discussion is pretty much over now. <p>As I understand it, while in offensive stance your taunts become detaunts in the (hopefully) upcoming changes.  Taunting reduces hate.  Rescue lowers your hate position.  Stuff like that</p><p>That's a very good thing.  If you're going to be serious about  DPS you need some way of controlling aggro..</p><p>When I'm in DPS mode and get going with chi and knockout combo, my bruiser has a tendency to rip aggro from the main tank because I don't have many tools to reduce it.  This would give me the tools.</p>

They are neither taunts nor detaunts in O-Stance. Zero threat change. Likewise any CA with +hate on it will have 0 hate. Will help a bit with aggro that they are zero, but not as much as detaunts obviously.</p>

<p>I'd be for it, except with base taunt modifiers, taunt procs, and taunt numbers getting a heck of a boost, my monk would be running around with 15-20k nukes on like a 5s recast. I think they'd have to scale them way down, and if they're going to do that... just use your CAs you already have.</p>
