i cant patch the game(havent been able to since the second patch yesterday, 2/12/2009)i can bypass the patcher and get in via the .exe.the patcher starts up fine scans the files and such, but when it starts the download it just says Download Cancelled.i've tried what is suggested in the knowledge database, that didnt work. there doesnt seem to be anyone recently having this problem on the forums, You mention that you tried some steps from the knowledgebase, but I don't know what you've tried so far. The most common cause of this issue is Vista, so let's try the Vista steps first:1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. In the "Compatibility Mode" area check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"5. In the drop down list make certain that "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" is selected.6. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.7. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".8. Right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"

i had tried that and it didnt work.thing is and you can point me at stuff like that but i dont think it will work. seeing as it worked before the patch then after the patch it no longer works.i have my UAC off and the proper ports opened and eq2 is allowed through my firewall. ive tried doing a clean boot(all services and start up off, that arent required to boot by windows), ive tried reseting my firewall permissons and running as an admin.*shrug*
