Earlier today, I could play EQ2 just fine. Then I logged out when prompted for the patch today (about 1:15 Pacific Time). Once servers were back up, I could start the game, but would crash to blue screen when I tried to load a character. Some problems with nv4_disp and a continual loop. My wife worked on the computer for me, updating the graphics driver, unloading the driver, reloading it, repeat, updating Direct X, etc.

Now I can log in for a few minutes before the graphics start going wonky - textures replaced, icons re-colored, lots of green, then finally a total freeze.

I've recently cleaned out dust from inside the computer because I was having graphics issues a few months ago [http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=434687] and somebody here thought my graphics card could be overheating, but it wasn't really dusty inside. That issue cleared up by itself.

Currently, I'm trying to figure out how to run EQ2 in SP2 mode as someone suggested, but that's not an option in the properties in my shortcut...

I'm thinking this is a compatibility issue between SOE and my computer. I think the patch today messed with something that had been messed with and fixed back in November...

Let me know what info you want me to post, if you think it will help. Can't play the game, so I might as well figure out how to post the DXDIAG and MSINFO32 files.
