Any chance that EQ2 will do charatcer re-customization like WoW?

<p>Well, we can already change our characters' looks - thankfully not for real money. There have been askings for gender and race changes, which normally get short down.. but hey, with station cash that may be something we see soon enough. I remember they had name changes in EQL, but weren't they 50$ or some such? I imagine, if a race/gender/name change were to be sold, it would be a lot more than 15$.. :/</p>

<p>I'd pay SOE $100 bucks if I could race change to ratonga.  They should implement it as a station cash feature.  Just think of all the money to be made.</p>

<p>Luckily I have never even slightly wanted to change any of my character's race/gender/class.  But I could see how this would be a big deal.  I think changeing class would be a bit much since then people would always be switching to the flavor of the month class.  I don't see why race/gender changes shouldn't be added though.</p>

<p>You know Gage that there are Ratonga illusion items right? Petrified Ratonga Eye. Every character race has one, accept the two fairies and sarnaks if i remember correctly. They are relatively cheap on the broker and would save you that 100$ <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" /></p><p>Dont go tempt Sony, Character Services are already outrageously expensive as it is. Not to mention the Char Transfter page has been broken for what, a couple years now? One has to petition to do a server change <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>If you want to change your characters looks, go give a gold to a Barber and there you go, you can redo physical customization like you did when you created said character.</p>

<p>The EQ2 barbership which has been around for a long time lets you do everything the WoW re-customization does except change name and gender (race can't be changed in either).  Personally I can't see gender being a big concern, but the ability to change name would be nice.  It does open the ability for people with poor reps/scammers to change name on a regular basis though.  I liked the EQ1 system for name change where an ongoing list was kept showing which names were changed and to what.</p>
