For the time being we dont have a current "lore master" dev as we did with Vhalen and Doomcookie. There has been concerns regarding where the lore of the game will be going such as threads like this http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=442960 ... however while reading it I thought of an old idea my old game EQoA used for keeping the server community friendly and helpfull.

we thought of a server based alliance w/ a council leading it for spawns (eqoa was contested like EQ1 was), and i thought, while we dont need such a total alliance w/ EQ2 due to the instancing of the zones... for the lore aspect... the concerns of the lore of the game, where its been, whats coming up, whats going on now. If we would try to set up a lore council for the game, for players and devs alike,.. people that could help with lore progression as well as help with info from lore from the past game(s) and timelines. Devs and Players alike could be part of it, we could use the knowledge gained to help shape the events of the future to try and avoid any heavy lore hiccups that previous games have had.

Setting it up would probably be the most difficult part, as we'll all have input/views of how lore is distributed/gained/interpreted. Some will argue viewpoints of different events (Neriaks collapse comes to mind) or the start of the Half-elven race. But diffrences and arguements would actually help bring light to the lore of the game and make fixes/suggestions/progress to what is established today.

Well.. anyways.. is just an idea i had kicking around and was wondering the consensus.

I think people are jumping to conclusions too fast. It hasn't even been a week since Doomcookie gave her goodbye, and suddenly everyone is acting like it's the end of the world just because we've gone a few days without a dev stepping up as the new PR with the community.

Not saying your idea isn't good or anything, but I think people need to relax and let the devs get some work done first.

If you've been paying any attention to the EQ1 lore, well you see how 'well' that went...

I just wanted to know there was someone still working on keeping the story, what makes Norrath a world and not just a game, alive.

Anways, sorry for going off-topic Rezikai.
