Login Server Problems

<p>Three accounts.  Two computers.  The Vista computer has the Station Launcher.  The XP computer has the old-school EQII login button.  I'm in the US and play on US servers.</p><p>Today's problem started about two hours before the patch (around 8 a.m. eastern time).  I attempted to camp on one toon and switch to another on the XP machine, but while switching received the message "Login rejected: Invalid username or password. Please try again."  There's nothing that can be done at that screen other than go back to desktop and login from the start.</p><p>Seconds later the same thing happened on the Vista machine on a different account.  I rebooted.  The Station Launcher recognized my password, but when I clicked on EQ2 I received the message Game not Authorized.</p><p>The problem persisted for a few minutes, after which I was able to log in all three accounts. Then it occurred again.  Several other people in server chat confirmed they were having the same problem.  There was a scheduled patch coming in about an hour, so I logged off and didn't try again until I saw the "All Servers Up" message that the patch had been completed.</p><p>Post-patch, I logged all three accounts back on.  So far so good, but now when I try to switch toons I again get the "Login rejected..." message.</p><p>This has occurred before, but usually it clears up more quickly.  I don't have this problem playing other MMOs.  Just ones from SOE.</p>

I'm experiencing a similar problem. When I zone, it hangs on logging into zone servers for about 30 seconds then up comes the login rejected message. I then must quit to desktop and log back on. It's happened twice so far.

QUIT</p><p>When I have to quit I have a 10 minute download EVERY SINGLE TIME.</p><p>All this for some STUPID valentines day quests. You have paying customers wanting to play. Let's get on with the fix.</p>

<p>I am having the same issues since patch this am. Every time I zone from NQ to Antonica, or back or to SQ or QH I get this message. It did not dump me out if I used call to guild hall. It happened with two toons on the same account on an XP machine. I triend /camp Anthise from the guild hall and got the same Log in Rejected.</p><p>I have been having boot to characters screen occasionally when zoning for some time now (since the expansion), but never the problem with Log in Rejected.</p><p>Help?</p><p>Galya/Anthise</p>

<p><cite>erros wrote:</cite></p><blockquote><p>Same problem.  Every time I zone it hangs on "Logging into zone server".</p><p>---LAME---</p></blockquote><p>The problem that was causing this issue has been corrected at this point.  If you're getting that error, then a blocked port on the router seems like the most likely cause.  I would advise bypassing the router and plugging your computer directly into the modem to see if that resolves the issue.  If it does, then we'll probably need to set up that router for port forwarding.</p>
