Defiler form is a stink cloud?

Mystics turn into bears and defilers turn into a purple cloud? Can defilers turn into anything else? Also, do defilers have a pet?

<p>Although it would make sense for them to look the same, they really are different. We have the black wolf and the mystics have the ghost wolf. I wonder if that is how Rodcet Nife finally figured out that we really weren't mystics. I even wore my best shaman hat for him. =(</p>

<p>I love the Non-Ghost dog of the Defiler.</p><p>I do however wish upgrades to the black mist form would look different. Maybe something between Lich and Egyptian Warrior... I would use that illusion.</p>

<p>There is a fun spell that defilers get that can turn you into one of the rodent things you can find in enchanted lands. Go to the mage guild and get it, I believe....been a while lol</p>

<p>Ghost hawk as well. Though that form always annoyed me. Its so low to the ground! But yeah the purple 'wraith' cloud is rather uninspiring.</p><p>Its old form was semi decent in that it had your armor displayed as if a human male and the smoke would billow out of the openings. Apparently enough people where upset that it change race/gender like that they called the armor a bug and it was removed. But you can still see the inivisible model where it was once <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" /></p><p>Be thankful that /hide is available now. For the longest time after launch I would use the Iksar eye so that I wouldn't be forced to be a purple cloud. Only other option was to not use the buff.</p>

<p>I never understood how anyone could dislike being a cloud of Evil!  To me, having Evil so concentrated it takes on a physical form, that's the best.  Defiler is the one class where i always have illusions to show.</p><p>mm.  Comming back after a year away, soon I'll switch to my main and start leveling up.  It is just so painful having to run around solo and do quests because I'm 43 and only have 25 AAs.</p><p>Ahh well, I'm still getting a hang of everything again, so I'll stick to my sk a little longer.</p>

<p>I am a fan of the mechanized gnome form myself.  The "stink cloud" is interesting looking, but in the middle of an x4 vs x4 raid fight, you lose sight of yourself if you just look like that.</p>

<p>Um, yeah? You're a defiler how else do you think you are gonna defile things? Did you expect to turn into a pink rabbit?</p><p>Peep, as long as you aren't carrying a bow, you can type /showranged and it will toggle of your weapon/shield from showing.</p>
