So i was doing some of the new TSO quests in mistmore and found out some interesting info...

Lenya and her bro are both vampires.....

The last quest for one quest line has you recover her crown and pass it on to the Stewart of New Tunaria.... But i am curious..Tearis himself didnt have any siblings??? I know there are no mention of it but He had to have some kind of relatives besides his children...Thex line for the light Elves can't be completely over...

P.S I know there still ppl out there that believe Tearis was the royal son coerced by Inny... but With all the evidance out there... in Old foreign quarter Neriak... eq1 lore, and Eof Lore we know there been past rulers... so why no living relatives?

They're called High Elves, or if you go by what they call themselves in New Tunaria, New Elves.

Anyways. I just completed Abbey last night and found out about Prince Marcus Thex, and watched as he was transformed into a vampire right before our eyes. I don't know about Lenya Thex yet, but she's been infatuated with Mayong since Echoes of Faydwer came out. It wouldn't surprise me at all that she would willingly become a vampire (if that is the case. I don't know.)

At any rate, if the New Elves choose to hang onto thier traditions, which they mostly haven't, then they'll find a new ruler and make sure he takes on the Thex name like all the rulers do.

As a Koada'Dal, I have to chime in here that this is bitterly disappointing to me.

That said, I'll continue with my movement for a FREE FELWITHE!

I mentioned them as Light Elves b/c its tradition term for high and wood elves in eq1, although there not technicaly rulers of any elves but the renda'dal I figured most still considered them important... specualtion and rp aspect really...

Also the second quest you speak to lenya, apparently the counsel locked her away and did what they wanted in New Tunaria, Mayong took advantage of the situation... Lenya reminded him of a long lost love murdered so long ago... so with her locked away and a bit of coercion they fell in love and he turned her when tso starts...

sure the new stewart mention in the second quest.... one u have to get the crown for will be named thex but i just thought it sad...family line that lasted thousands of years is over...

Not necessarily.

We have a tendency to think of royal houses as the monarch, consort, and their children. We tend to overlook the myriad of other family members who are in the line of succession. For all we know, the new ruler of Felwithe may be King Tearis Thex's youngest uncle's daughter's son who'll found a new dynasty within the Thex line.

*edit to add*

Although, honestly, it could be someone even more distantly related. Or even completely unrelated but selected by some other means. Although this makes one wonder what has happened to all the extended members of the Thex line who would presumably have some claim to the Throne of Felwithe presuming the Koada'Dal follow the standard rules of primogeniture. This, of course, means the succession descends in a direct line from the founder of the dynasty to his eldest son and then to his eldest son on down. Any other sons would thus father cadet lines and the title would not revert to them unless the senior branch of the family became extinct. At which point we'd go back to the oldest of the cadet lines and follow the descent to find a living scion of the House who'd then become king. I doubt this is the case otherwise Lenya would not have become Queen. So the title likely descends to the heirs of the body regardless of gender. Interesting. It'd be fun to determine the succession... I wonder if I could found a college of arms and research this.

Thex may also be a regnal name much like Antonia. Maybe there'll be equally strong claimants to the throne and we'll have a War of Koada'Dal Succession.

Sorry, don't mean to blather on. ^_^

I think with the High Elves, the royal bloodline has remained the same since the very first elves existed. Back before Innoruuk took away the original King and Queen in order to turn them into Dark Elves, and the King's brother took the throne.

This probably would be the first time that the bloodline has been broken.

The Dark Elves on the other hand.. The bloodline has been broken several times. The rulers only take on Thex as an honorary title. Just throwing that out there, even though it has almost nothing to do with this.

I wonder if this heralds changes to Felwithe as we know it? Does this presage the end of Felwithean isolationism?

She had regrets for falling for Mayong's sweet words and sympathies - like other ladies before her, she saw Mayong as someone who was a tortured soul and all of that - but she woke up to the reality of her situation. So her sense of guilt crushed her and she didn't want to be rescued.

Anyway, she's decided to stay in Mayong's domain and feed whatever information she can get to the League of Freethinkers.

I thought it's implied that the crown was to be used to find someone with Thex blood, but since I hadn't saved the dialogue so I'm not exactly sure.
