Hi,

in hope that we will get more response here as in the German Forums:

Valor and Innovation (the German Servers) are laggy as hell and crashing on and on.

Long Story:

Since a few years, (DoF), EQ2 lags on Valor and Innovation.

Sometimes it gets better, but actually since TSO its worse. You just have no chance to play in Moores of Ykesha between 1900 and 2300 when the Server gets crowded (not crowded enough to open a second instance). You press a button... you wait 5 seconds... something happens and if you're lucky, your spell is through before the Mob has killed you.Sometimes you press a button and the next thing you see is the Rezz Screen.

We had entire Raidforces move from the German to US Servers for that Reason. Timing in VP was a luck game.

No, its not only on my PC, no, Ping's also fine and the framerate, too.

According to a Red Name the Problem lies (also) in the Translation. (Sounds funny, but it isn't). Server gets a request to open a stat window AND SENDS THAT REQUEST TO BE TRANSLATED and then back, opening the Window, finally.Really Bad was that in Mistmoore Castle, moving with a raid to MMIS. Everytime one of the Vampires deleveled us, the game stuck for at least 20 seconds... multiply that with the number of Vampires we attracted.

For more information: Browse the German Forum and search for "Lag". This will guarantee for Hours of Fun.

Now, onto the Crashes:

Since a few (days ? Weeks?) Jarsath Wastes crashes. There's 1 (One) Raidforce zoning in with all the Guys to VP... and Jarsath crashes. We had yesterday, at approx 2000 CET, 3 Raids standing in front of VP, two Raids zoning in... and i saw all my guildies logging out - that was the 3rd raid which was waiting in front of the door. 10 Minutes later they could log in again... just to crash the zone again (yeah, i know, logging in with 20 people AT ONCE is hell of a task for a server).

I (and many, many others) would REALLY appreciate a comment other than "please report to the support" or "Yeah, we know of that"... i'm opening every evening a Ticket and no one has responded till now. We will continue to open tickets, 20 per evening till it gets fixed, the Translation Server gets scrapped or the International Servers get declared "Barren Territory" and just shut down.

Regards, theriatis,Fed-up German Player.

Hello, I'm from the german server Innovation and I want to confirm the threadstarters complains! Though I'm not in a raid guild, but for casual players it's the same problem.

You can't play between 7pm and 11pm in the Moores of Ykesha. We got even in instances like Deep Forge or Scion of Ice some really bad lag issues. This usually causes someone to crash to the login screen.

I could continue on and on about the problems the german players have on their server!

SOE please DO something about it instead of putting us off all the time!

Mostly I regret that I switched from a US server to Innovation.

I just have to confirm that in the last 2 month it got from bad to worse. Moors are virtually unplayable at any time of the day. I frequently group early in the morning CET and we see 3-4 players in the group crashing out of the game when zoning into any of the shard instances. I am usually pretty stable but have seen zone-in times in excess of 3 minutes, chatlags in excess of 30 seconds (voice seems unaffected by it), to open any other window in game as the journal can get you 1 minute gamestops (the "option" window is particular bad), cast lags are nightmarish up to 10+ seconds (these are very hard to determine since you really have to watch out if you already moved possibly and interupted the cast or panicky clicked every available button. I usually start running and hope for the best. On the other hand you occasionally find the perfect empty zone where you can just go about your business without major lags until a RF comes through or a couple of groups decide to do those instances in your perfect little zone.

It seems perfectly obvious to me that the way the translation is done is the reason for this lag since the japanese and russian servers are hit even worse than the german servers (allegedly). Now instead of putting in 1000 of workhours to fix an issue that already has been fixed a year ago with the change the translation was handled why don't you go ahead and boost the server hardware that they can handle the extra workload? It seems at least worth a try? Or ........? Maybe not! Then just shut the International servers down and put us out of this misery.
