Since a week I did a fresh installation of EQ2 with the beta-launcher. Great stuff, works like a charm.

But.. each time after I've taken a little break while being logged in (you know, getting a drink, stretching, toilet, cuddling with the cats), I am back at the character selection screen.

Is it only me? I never had this before. Is there some setting to prevent this? It is inconvenient because I also get kicked out of groups and raids because of this. Not good to prevent RSI and such

Cheers,

-Z-

Greetings,

Does your computer automatically lock or go to sleep after a certain amount of time? It sounds like the computer is losing connection due to some kind of sleep/lock mode. The same thing happens to me when my computer automatically locks after 10 minutes.

Thanks for the quick answer!

I have only a screensaver on (blank screen), but disabled the autosleep function. Is there some logging where I can check this?

Cheers,

-Z-

Disable all of the screen and power saver options and see if it happens again. You'll probably want to keep an eye on the computer during that test.

Just going for a short break, have disabled it all indeed. I'll report back, also if it helped. Then I might blame Vista

It would be unusual for Vista to cause an issue like the one you're experiencing.
