Is there anyway that the faction required before we can purchase our fuel could be lowered? We have done the quest to get the faction to craft there. We now bring our own materials -- but surely we should not have to get such high faction before we can purchase the fuel.

Being able to purchase the fuel would help relieve what is now an UNFUN experience.

I agree. You need max faction for the best pricing, and when you get that you're pretty much done there. Maybe drop it to 20k or something?

Yeah, that was annoying. If you forget about that and find yourself allllll the way out there where going home and back is a complete PITA. A workaround, is mailing yourself fuel from another character, send a bunch so you can just hit the mailbox when you run out. I'd rather camp around, mail it, and go afk till the mail arrives than calling home (if your call is even up) and running back.

By the time I could purchase fuel in Bathezid I was indifferent and the price was 1g the same as in my home town where I have ally status. I am now amiable to Bathezid and the price is still 1g.

The fuel purchase hassel really makes a boring event even more UNFUN that it already is. I think we should be able to purchase fuel once we get access to the crafting stations -- theoretically we are doing this for them so I would think they would want to let us buy fuel to go faster -- they do need to those field latrine stations, after all we wouldn't want them to have to go behind a bush or a tree.

No, it's a symbiotic relationship. You are making supplies for them in exchange for building your faction with them in order to gain enough trust to purchase whatever it is you want to buy from them. If you don't do it, someone else will.

This isn't supposed to be fun. It's a sweatshop style grindfest. That's about all it can be since the actual process of crafting is so simple once at max level you don't even have to counter events to suceed so "making a boring event even more unfun than it already is" is a non-starter argument IMO

Yep. In order to rationalize giving rewards for something completely non-challenging you have to make an artificial challenge.....the timesink.

I thought you needed -20K to be able to purchase fuels from Bathezid, Riliss and Danak, but I must confess it has been a very long time since I last levelled a faction high enough. I usually just sent myself some fuels from another char (or put some in the shared bank, go to Teren and get it).

could you use the bank in terens? Use the shared banking slots?

Honestly, best option (and I did this for both my level 80 sage and tailor) is to bring what you can foresee using with you and mail what you don't anticipate. The mailbox is just outside the building, for pete's sake. It's not game breaking and certainly not a high priority for the devs.

Plan ahead. Obviously you've gotten at least one toon high enough to craft for BW that now you know what you're getting into. Plan to bring lots of fuel with you. Buy too much if need be and sell it back later. But, no.....I think it's fine just the way it is.....I'd rather see the devs spend their time on other things that need fixing than a minor inconvenience like this.
