What would be your "dream" equipement if you had no access to any type raid. Anything you list here must be attainable with a 6 person group

I do about one raid a week and eventually can get upgrade their, but I don't have that much choice over the target. I play regularly so I can try to aim at instances where I have possible upgrade that drops.

I would say shard armor......and for a weapon cartoidcutter to go along with your fabled myth. Also the shard merchants have some pretty nice jewelry and a decent charm item.

I think at this point for a non-raider the shards are the way to go.

Damage spread on Carrotid is BARELY better than Seb Dirk as it's mostly the min damage that is increased, and the proc is pathetic compared to the 10% boost to caustic poison damage. Either way, niether is part of an ideal non-raid setup.

There are two very nice fabled offhanders available in TSO instances. Finger Boneguard Rapier, which drops in Befallen: Cavern of the Afflicted, and a blade out of Guk: Ykesha's Outer Stronghold. Chances are, YOS would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, without a mostly raid-geared group, so the Rapier really is the best bet for that.

From a pure DPS standpoint, 3 pieces of T1 armor, and 3 pieces of T2 armor (Shoulders, Chest, Gloves I would recommend) will give best results. There's a few nice pair of forearms, one I know is a leather piece out of Crucible, that would be good to round off the armor. Out of RE2, the cloak, Gahdash's Bangle, Chieftain's Baldric are all very good bets on jewelry, as is an earring that drops in Hollow Tower, which has +2 MC, +2 DA, and +CA damage. Also, the fabled charms out of Crucible and Necrotic Assylum are both AMAZING.

But what benefits do you get taking the 3 peices of T1. Wouldnt it be better to get 3 peices of the other T2 set that increases based CA dmg by 4 percent? Havent tested it myself, just asking.

Shard armor is very good. Aim for the T2 set and pick up some nice jewelry while you are collecting the shards.

I raid and I am wearing T2 Shard gear.

Mostly just added mitigation and critical mitigation, or throwaway crap like +15 CA damage. Only the shoulders and chest are noticably better, the gloves are a bit diferent. In some cases, stats (especially INT) are even lower on the T2 set than on T1 for some unfathomable reason. So by going with 3 pieces of each, you're getting two 3 set bonuses, twice the proccy goodness. Those procs each account for about 3% of my overall DPS on a zonewide I have up right now of 4.2k DPS. I sincerely doubt the +1 MC, +1 DA, and +45 CA Damage you'd receive from a full set could match that.

Now, if you added a bit of raid gear into the equation (which wasn't part of it, since it is "non raid" gear thread, but still), get, say, a Manipulator's Hood out of PR, then yea, may as well go ahead and get the other pieces of T2.

TBH, Rogues got screwed on legendary VS armor. Craptastic 5 set bonus, especially for Swash who can already cripple a mob's parry stat (compare to, say, Predator's +8 DA 5 set bonus), and downgrades from going from T1 to T2 on some pieces.

And a 3rd edit: TBH, I hadn't even taken the other set into consideration...Just looked at it, something I'm going to have to try now. Thanks for the suggestion, didn't realize what you were saying at first. Although at a glance I'm a bit concerned at -5 DA compared to T1 Rogue set Boots, Pants, and Helm, and the loss of quite a bit of INT.

Yeah i am not sure which would benefit more, the 4 base combat art dmg, or the extra lifetap proc. Although now you have me really thinking about buying 3 peices of the T1 set again just to test that out and see what kind of increases it brings. And after looking at it again, your right, the stat increases are minimal at best.

To the OP, TSO armor is the best thing you can do, if your not raiding. Just make sure to get yourself a 4 second delay fabled weapon in your off hand as soon as possible. The jewlery is easy enough to get a hold of as long as you are running TSO zones, even most the the legendary stuff is good that drops out of these places. As long as it has Melee crit, or Double attack on it, your good.

I would definitly go to Anethema as much as you can until you loot the Satchel of Deepest Animosity from the named Golem you have to spawn, its a throwing weapon and it is prolly the best you can get unless you raid.

Plus, Dagger has INT on it, which tends to be well below the diminishing returns curve for an instance geared swash, unlike STR, of which the Satchel has more.

there is one issue with the Dagger of Marnek: 4.5 sec delay

this makes it difficult to match up with a second weapon......very few have this delay. Only other examples of this delay I know of are Anaphalaxis and the Spellforged Skewer.

So, in my extreme boredom as I wait for a friend to finish an instance, I actually compiled what I believe to be a pretty good list. It works on the assumption that a fully instance geared group would have far too much difficulty in YOS or Palace of Ferzul, so no loot from those zones was included. The upgrades in there should be plainly obvious anyway.

Neck Bloodthirsty Choker (SOF) / Shards of Spectral Pandemonium (Veks 2) -- Depends on how good healer is.Ear Signet of the Ethernauts (TSO Collection)Ear Fanged Ear Hoop (NHT)Ring Ring of the Voidshadow (TSO Blue Shiney Collection) -- MC and Spell crits for procs.Ring Pristine Imbued Tynnonium Band of Strength (Crafted) / Mark of Ankexfen (RE2 Collection) -- Depends on if you have a Coercer in group.Wrist Gahdash's Bangle (RE2)Wrist Wristlet of Nil Sight (Befallen: CoA)Waist Thick Banded Belt (Guk: Lower Corridors)Cloak Cloak of the Broken Toe Champion (RE2)Charm Essence of Mastery (Crucible)Charm Dangling Skull Bone Chip (NA)Head Hood Of Chaotic Manipulation (Scion)Chest Dauntless Voidlink (T2 Shard)ShoulderDauntless Voidlink (T2 Shard)Forearm Bracers of Planar Exploration (Crucible)Gloves Dauntless Voidlink (T2 Shard)Legs Bloodstained Legguards of the Vampire Lord (MM)Boots Dauntless Voidlink (T2 Shard)Pri Charm's Way (Fabled)Sec Finger Boneguard Rapier (Befallen: CoA)Range Dargger of Marnek (NA)
