Hi guys!

I wanted to thank you all for reading and for theorizing and all of the feedback and discussion I have loved watching happening on this board. As of this week, I am no longer working on Everquest II or at SOE. I am going to miss EQ2 and the great community we have, but I'm excited for new things to come and help build more worlds for you all to enjoy. I am not sure yet who is going to step in my shoes, but I am sure whoever it is will lead you guys through many new and exciting chapters of Everquest lore.

Keep enjoying and piecing together mysteries, O Chroniclers of Norrath. If you want to keep in touch, feel free to add me on twitter (missdoomcookie) and send me a @hello and I'll link to you.

Nooo! You can't go! Who will write us our prelude stories into the next expansion now!?

Uhhh... Lets see... This picture is extremely dated, but this is the best I can come up with for this situation.

So long Missdoomcookie! It's been great having you, and you'll be missed more than that other guy... uhhh. What was his name again? Valhalen or something? :p

No, seriously, good luck out there. You did a great job helping to fulfill the lore of Vhalen's final expansion project, and I hope the other developers are keeping up the good work.

Awe, very sad to see you go, The Shadow Odyssey was my favourite of all the lore I've read up to date. Who ever we get has some big shoes to fill. Safe travels missdoomcookie!

This is most disheartening. Just when I was starting to think EQ2 lore might have a future...

Well I can't really say I blame you. You were underappreciated here, and hopefully you're off to better horizons.

In my humble opinion, you were the best thing to ever happen to EQ2 MDC, and you will be missed.

I too wish to add my thanks for all you have done to enhance the 'imaginary little world' we all live in.

I hope your new endeaver is all you hope it to be, and more, but always remember if you can survive the love/hate relationship we have w/ our RedNames, you can handle.... ANYTHING!!!

Well, this is a shame. I'm sorry to see you go. You did a wonderful job on the Ethernaut backstory. Whichever company/game you move on to will benefit from your skills. Take care and good luck!

First Vhalen, now you? All our great Lore Devs are disappearing =(

Good luck in your future projects, though. I'm sure you'll give them the same special touch you brought to EQ2 (especially in the time after Vhalen's leaving).

/mourn

I'd enjoyed your work in Vanguard, and was among the many sorry to see you go -- and then happy to hear you got hired into EQ2. When I moved to EQ2 with my guild a year ago, it was a pleasure to run into your work again. I am again sad to see you leave, but hope that you once again find a good place to weave your story of a world in.

Best of luck, Missdoomcookie!

(if you can, tell us where you windup sometime )

Sad to see ya go.

First Vhalen leaves .... then Jindrack.. now Doomcookie.

Maybe it's ironic that we're trying to prevent Ages End.

Because it seems to be coming to our Lore Devs quicker and quicker.

I must say i did like the refreshing take on how lore was dished out with Doomcookie, alot less "mystery to find a piece of a puzzle" and more actual tales/stories to take and be subjective with.

Looks like their going to have to get someone decent to fill the glass slippers Doom's leaving behind.

Are there any lore developers at all left? I remember How the lore developers for EQ Live were allowed to atrophy. Are we seeing the end to a dedicated lorist for EQ2 now?

Any updates on who is responsible for lore now? I miss the dev interaction we used to get on this forum.

According to recent information, they have shifted the role onto the shoulders of the entire team. Hopefully it runs like a multicore processor and not a gaggle of monkeys.

So far, we haven't had much in the way of interraction and I wouldn't expect too much, since there is no authority that can give answers.
