I have a few questions about weapon speed and aa. I have looked over the forum here and can't find exactly what I'm looking for.

I have read that you need to get weapons of speed 4. Ok that sounds good to me but when you say that are you saying we need to get the persona window primary and secondary hands to read 4 OR just 4 on the weapon itself? My speed always goes down (I get slower) when I equip 2 weapons so I would think I would need a speed 3 or 3.5 to get 4 to show on the persona readout window.

Also as a soloing assassin (I will be grouping later but I have to get my little guy high enough to group with the rest of my guild) I have started the Strength line first (like I have read). What should I go for next? I'm only 18th level with 8 aa's so I have 4,4 basically. Any help you all could give would be greatly appreciated. I have never played a melee type in Eq2 since the game started so this will all be very new to me.

I'm still a fairly young assassin but i've already asked most of these questions and i'll try to answer them.

Max Str. line. I didnt realize how important the final AA is until i started grouping and i'm sitting there twiddling my thumbs waiting for a BS to cooldown...any BS.

After that i've been told INT. Indeed Int does look useful, and i'm very fond of poisons. I havent even touched my assassin line yet.

As for weapons, as I understand it the "4" rule. Is there because slower weapons have a higher damage range. (not to be confused with DPS) Which = bigger crits. The reason everyone says 4 is because our epic is a 4 delay weapon. I've seen other assassins comment that they are over 5 when dual wielding. So yes 4 delay base is ideal. But at the early game i dont think its anything thats set in stone. If you have access to good quality weapons then i'd say choose 4, because you might as well get used to 4 now. However if you dont have a guild willing to help twink you, At your current level I doubt anyone will chase you down and beat you for using a 3 delay you found.

Hello! Good to see another assassin!

I'm not the best person to answer the weapons question but maybe someone else who knows alot more with the whole mathematical whatever mumbo jumbo can help you there.

As for AA's, I can help you a little more. You'll want to do the STR line first obviously, which you've already figured out. When I was leveling up my assassin, I was told STR and INT. However, now I'm seeing most people say you'll want to go STR > AGI > INT. But for PvP I've seen it said that you should go with STA for your secondary AA trait. Agility will help with avoidance and it has some pretty good skills with it. Stamina will give you more HP's and also has some decent abilities that come with it.

I just respec'ed from INT to AGI but haven't really solo'd with it yet so we'll see how that goes and whether I should spec back to INT, or try out STA. I haven't decided yet.

Hope you get it figured out.
