Patcher Initializing- Eternally

<p>I've decided to return to EQ2 and upon doing so i bought the TSO Direct download. The launchpad will launch, but after I put in my log in information it continuously says "Patcher Initializing" with  no motion of progress. I tried rebooting, changing compatability, and making sure I have all my windows updates. No luck whatsoever. If anyone has any tips/solutions, please help, thanks</p>

<p>Are you using a router with your network?  If so, you'll probably want to bypass it and plug directly into the modem.  That will let us know if the router is causing the issue.</p><p>This problem could also be caused by an antivirus or firewall.  What security software do you use?</p>

<p>Its the firewall. The patcher works fine on the same machine at my girlfriends house. I just moved into an apartment and I need to get my IT guy to allow it through his network.</p>
