View Full Version : For low level soloing is the wis/fencer line good?

The Wis path looks interesting to me and I was wondering what the max percentage to dbl attack is with the appropriate AA's in that line maxed. Currently lvl 16 with 7 AA's and working towards filling it out. Thanks

68% to DA.

I tried that for a while and switched to STR line and maxed melee crit (while still being able to dual-wield) and my DPS increased considerably.

Melee Crit applies to both regular melee *and* combat arts.

Double Attack *only* applies to regular melee.

Since low-level soloing is the described gameplay, I feel qualified to tell you what worked great for me. I soloed almost exclusively until the 60's.

Dual wield, and start with AGI line to get Walk the Plank up to at least 4th level. Then, feel free to either continue down AGI line, or add STR line, until you get a total of 35 points.

Then, *respec* and go 1 (at the top), WIS 4-4-8-8-2 (to get the endline ability), AGI 4-4 (this way you never lose Walk the Plank). This is when your offhand will be empty. I really enjoyed the survivability vs. multiple mob encounters with the WIS line - with MC gear & poisons, and adept 3 CA's, I felt invinceable. Having the WIS endline ability, plus 8 points in both abilities that boost double attack, made my DPS seem sufficient, considering I only had one weapon equipped.

As you earn more points, you can either put them into any combination of STR and/or AGI - you would unfortunately be 1 point short of being able to get 2 endline abilites on the Rogue tab until level 70, but it didn't hinder me at all. If you really want the AGI endline ability now, you could short a point out of the WIS line (from one of the ones you spent 8 in), because with only 25 points spent in the WIS line, you could then spend 24 in AGI to get Sailwind (which you will probably want for endgame anyway, but by then you will have dropped the WIS line to dual wield again).

The above plan worked great for me, but don't think that the WIS line is soooo much *better* than dual-wielding. The WIS line is great once you've got lots of points in it, but where you are now - level 16, with 7 points into it - you're actually weaker than dual wield with respect to DPS, and you haven't really enhanced your survivability, even if with Lunge Reversal, because it's taking you longer to kill things.

Good luck!

I've soloed a lot (about 80%) to level 76 on the STR and AGI lines and have had no issues at all. Walk the Plank and Crits
