<p>Hi, I just finished downloading the trial version of TSO. And when I go to the character select it onlt lets make make characters on the two european servers splitpaw and runneye... I'd like to use the mistmoore american server.. How can I switch over? I see no option. Thanks</p>

If you are using the beta station launcher, I believe you need to make sure it is set to US english for the language</p>

If you are using the beta station launcher, I believe you need to make sure it is set to US english for the language</p></blockquote><p>Yes, that's probably the case here.  To access the US servers you'll want to have it set to 'English - US'.  I'm betting you have it set to 'English - EU'.  When using the beta station launcher it is in the language menu.  The option you're looking for says 'English' next to an American flag.</p>

<p>thanks guys. still having some trouble tho. On the EULA screen it does show a drop down menu on the top right, but when clicking it nothing drops down... its empty and there are no words,,, It's visable but not operational.</p>

<p>The drop down emnu still won't work to select what language or reason I need to play the game.. is there a file I can edit in my sony/everuqest2 directory i can edit to make it log onto the US servers? please help!!</p>

<p>Is your version of Windows updated to the most recent version?  I believe the launchpad uses internet explorer files for some functionality so you'll want to make sure it is fully updated. </p><p>I think you can modify the following file to change your region manually, though.  Please back up the file before trying, since this isn't the normal way to change the region.  The following file is in your Everquest 2 directory:</p><p>LP_options.xml</p><p>Once you're inside that file you should see something similar to the this line, near the top:</p><p><span ><</span><span >DefaulT</span> <span >RgnID</span><span >="</span><strong>LP_REGION_EN_EU</strong><span >"</span><span > /></span></p><p>Change it to look like this:</p><p><span ><</span><span >DefaulT</span> <span >RgnID</span><span >="</span><strong>LP_REGION_EN_US</strong><span >"</span><span > /></span></p><p>Let us know if that corrects the problem.</p>
