XP SP1 Q?

<p>Will EQ2 run on Windows XP service pack 1?  I installed the game, cant get the pacther up, just keeps cycling loading launchpad.exe.....</p>

<p>Greetings,</p><p>I don't think the service packs would have any effect on the game.  My computer had SP1 when I first started playing Everquest 2.  If the launchpad is getting stuck on the loading screen then I would suspect some kind of security software on the computer.  Do you have any kind of antivirus or firewall on your computer?</p>

<p>I have never had any anti virus software running on my computer.  Free Ad-ware and malewarebytes and the like usually take care of any minor infections I may have ever got.  I have been lucky so far not to have much of anything serious enough to warrent buying any of the big3 anti-virus software.  Never-the-less, I need a new computer anyway.  If any connection issues arise with EQ2 on a new computer Ill let you know.</p><p>Elizro Hum Warrior, EQ retired</p><p>Elizro Hum  Warrior, WoW retired</p><p>Elizro EQ2 (coming soon) !!</p>
