View Full Version : Paladin 4 set bonus

Aeralik, as you talked, we are supposed to be candidate on the MT position.

But, our 4 set bonus absolutely USELESS. We ask Fyreflyte to rework our bonus to something defensive.

After a couple of weeks, he rework our bonus. He replaced +3% Ca/spell damage to (wow) 5 mitigation bonus by 5 = ~ 800 mitigation = ~1.3% mitigation to the recipient of our avoidance buff. [Removed for Content] is it?

When we tanking, we get avoidance buff from another fighter, it gives ~ 10-12% avoidance zone-wide. So when we tanking, we never, never use our avoidance buff.

Why tank, which supposed to be MT, get useless bonus, which he never will use in raid?

It can be replaced by for example +25% Devotion increase, second trigger to DF, extra one or two attack to Stone Wall.

Explain this Aeralik, please.

Yeah man, you are right. Fyreflyte has joked. Replace 3% Ca/Spells with 5 miti bonus to target of our avoidance buff. Its really defensive bonus for us! Anyone use it while tanking?!

Aerilik said it was an unintended mistake that fighters use this line to block hits on another fighter...and our bonus here buffs our ability to use the line on another fighter?

Quick fix...apply that mit bonus to the caster instead of the target.

I am thinking Aerilik and Fireflyte need to do lunch.

This change is worse than what it was to begin with. Give US a bonus from wearing our armor. You could give us a +5 Mitigation increase, not focusessed on a buff, but don't put it on a buff we won't be using while we're tanking.

I wonder how many employees actually play this game.

I can only hope it was a mistake to put this buff on this spell, and instead, it was intended for defensive stance or some other self buff.

Ah, Aeralik, please, read this topic, we have huge problems with our 4 set bonus and [Removed for Content] Fyreflyte is doing? When we tanking, we get avoidance buff from another fighter it gives ~10-12% additional avoidance zone-wide, WHY Fyreflyte attached absolutely useless bonus to our avoidance buff? We never use it while tanking, never. It should be something defensive, please, read the topic and do some conclusions. Our community cant explain to him, he thinks that its great 4 set bonus, but why defensive tanks must increase mitigation of other person in the raid instead of increase of our mitigation? Guardians get 7%+ additional shield block chance, while we just increase other person, perfect! This topic is full a large quantity of interesting offers. Explain to him, that paladin its a defensive tank, not support class!

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=439206

4 set tso bonus linked to our avoidcheck = bad idea, since you hardly use it if you are the one who has to tank on a raid.

Either give us:

- Adds xx slashing/piercing/crushing and ranged to buff xx (NOT our avoidcheck here...) <-- nice to have

- Increases Melee/DA/Spellcrit by xx <-- 3rd choice

- Increases effectivity of worn armor by xx% <- my first choice

- Increases def/parry/shield effectivity/block by xx / xx% <-- oldschool, but always handy

- +1 Trigger to divine favor <-- 2nd choice

- gives an alternate buff for restitution called "Amends" with a 22% hate-transfer from one target - until cancelled <-- will never happen (lol)

Something useful like mentioned pls.

Oh, and while were on equippment: change palas mythical clickie, a limited pet dies after one ripost or after a few seconds towards a damage shield, give us a passive proc instead, e.g. short-mitbuff or immunities to disarm/targetloss or something like that.

Me suggestions, from the best to worst.

1. Add additional two attacks block on Stone Wall.

2. Add 20-30% damage reduction to Sigil of Heroism.

3. Add second trigger to Divine Favor or increase heal amount to 50% hp.

4. Add stone skin component to sacrament of bayle and LoH.

5. Reduce recast time of Divine Favor by 2 minutes.

6. +10 mitigation increase.

And please, no more DPS bonuses, like VP bonus. Tanking and DPSing no longer compatible.

Feedback

Increase mitigation by 5% + Inc Stonewall to block 3 attacks + Make Prayer Uninterruptable + (Reduce recast of Sigil by 50% or Failthful Cry reduce recast by 30s)

OR

SOMETHING that will give us better survivability and hate... its our fabled tso set for god sakes... make it worthy and wanted by the paladin community.

as it is now our bonus is on a buff thats overridden by other fighters and it doesnt apply to the paladin.. rather the target of our avoid buff (not the caster).... c'mon now devs, help us out!

It will be our "Little adrenaline", bonus which will improve our competitiveness with a guard.

Fyreflyte continues to ignore our community and refuses to go on a feedback. Aeralik, you should know that this bonus does useless avoidance buff from another fighter, also this bonus improves not us, but other man in a raid, instead of what to improve us as defensive tanks.

Devs, I know you read it, rework our bonus, a less than the week remains till the release of 51 GU, and then already nobody will not do nothing.

Here is a idea on the 4 set bonus on our TSO fabled gear: Make our Holy ground add a 1 hit Stoneskin/ 10 sec max duration. Either that or a 2nd stoneskin charge added on Stonewall. With it being a TSO Fabled it needs to be tied into a higher level spell or AA and not a situational avoidance check. The Holy Ground 1 proc Stoneskin is nice, you grap the mob with the hate position increaser and take the first hit on the stoneskin.

I would love to see some of the surviverbility suggestions above.

If it came down to you considering them too powerfull then at least my suggestion would be to make it a worthy upgrade from the VP set and have it increase heal crit by 10% on top of the vp set bonuses.

Another suggestion would be:-

Adds to defensive stance - all paladin heals and wards are increased by 25% and heal crit is increased by 25%

Adds to offensive stance - same as VP set.

IE use our stances to advantage the same way glorious stike was molded in to them and in line with the new vision.

Your second suggestion I like more.

Aye I preffere my second suggestion tbh and it is in keeping with the new way tanks are to play out after GU51.

I just want something other than what it is right now tbh. And wanted to point out other suggestions if they felt that other suggestions were too overpowered.

But while Fyreflyte still ignores us. Aeralik is not interested in this, as well as Fyreflyte =/
