I have been doing some thinking and I thought of some suggestions. First off I like the idea of the new changes but the Devs have completly butchered the brawlers with this new change.

Ill start with Monks because that is what I play.

I'll start with the most recent change to Mongoose Stance. It is now a 5% increase to our DMG proc in Off stance making it instead of 4.1 times to 4.4. Instead of this make it a 1% Flurry per AA spent to equal 5% while in Off stance. I would much rather have that than the measly .4 times a min our new DMg proc goes off.

Next perhaps enhance our raidwide buff to include a 1% flurry per AA spent to make it a 5% chance for all members of the raid to Flurry. This should be for all Brawlers on their raidwide. Then you could get a potential 10% Flurry raidwide buff to all classes. This should make Aerlilik happy cause then his Assassin will have a 20% chance ( or 40% with FL) to Flurry. This will inturn give us the DPS boost we have been looking for as well. then a brawler would not only be wanted in raid but perhaps even NEEDED. As of right now, a brawler can be easliy replaced with any rouge or other TRUE utility class.

To continue please make Brawlers debuffs more effective and the duration longer. Maybe double the debuff amount and triple the duration. As it stands now the durations only last about 10 seconds at most.

To balance out the disparity between monks and Bruisers with the haste issue, give Bruisers a DPS stat increase to their stances to equal our haste modifiers per stance.

With these additions to the new changes then brawlers will then be relevent again. If you agree with these additions/changes then please sign this thread and perhaps we can get some attention. Also if you have any other suggestions please say so.

Heya!

Let me give some kind of reply at least. Comments are not forthcoming here, I think, because:

1: There's already expansive threads on the topic here (I didn't remember seeing you in them, but the search function indicates otherwise, hence the edit ;p), so we're kind-of waiting on this one to be shot down due to double-posting.

2: What you're suggesting isn't exactly balanaced. +5% flurry raidwide? Seriously, for 5 aa points - you realise how insanely powerful that would be, right?

3: Many of us brawlers who are active on these forums have said what we had to say already, have realised it will mean nothing, and are stepping back from going over the same subject again and again, back to the realisation that we're being ignored or mocked with make-believe solutions on key issues. Again; it's not like we shouldn't be used to it by now, but it seems we normally try to raise attention to the problem up to a Live Update containing changes for us.

So, this comes in a tad late, bring no really new perspective (though I think it's fair to say a goodly deal of the brawler community would agree with the problem you state), and your idea (while I'd not mind it) is not presented so as to seem thought through very well.

No offense intended in this, of course. I'm happy to see you care about the brawler classes; more voices here will hardly get less accomplished. There's just a large debate on the brawler changes already. If you want reponses to your ideas, I'd suggest posting them, as relevant, there.Unless of course you're looking for a direct, to the point, and helpful developer response on these forums. If you ever manage to accomplish that on a brawler issue, let me know. I'd love to know how you did it; I've certainly never done it.

Links to the relevant discussions I could find off hand (mostly relevant to others seeing this):

Brawler Change - Crane Twirl: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=441930

False Assumptions for Brawler Def-Stances: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=441759

Monk Haste and New Stances --Not Working So Well: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=441930

Edit: Didn't remember seeinf the OP in the threads linked here; my memory was off, as indicated by search function. Post amended to account for that.

I think they want to keep flurry a more exclusive thing. Its highly wanted right now so if they keep it that way they have something to "expand" to in the future.

Asking for flurry just aint gonna help you guys. : /

I do like the better debuffs idea. That would kinda put you in line with the "rogues" of the figher archetype. And debuffs are always wanted. that plus your respectable dps would earn a raid spot if thats what you're worried about. I dont play a brawler so I havent really kept up with their changes, but I'd mainly focus your requests on your tanking ability. I cant tell you the number of times ive been called in to tank a named cause the brawler they had kept goin down. Its quite unfortunate in my opinion. I'd like to see you guys be equally viable to the plates.
