Monk

Mongoose Stance has changed to improve the trigger chance of the monk’s stances.

I specced to Rank 5 Mongoose Stance (5 is max) and I'm seeing a whole increase from 14 PPM on Def stance to 14.9% --- This has got to be a bug -- For 5 ranks I get a .9% proc increase??????????

Yeah the math works out 5% increase of a 14PPM proc is .9% ?????- ITs pathetic and needs to be changed.

I agree. Instead of a % increase it should be a whole extra proc # per point. I.E If DEF is 14 times a min after 5 points in mongoose/shiftiness it should be 19 times a min. Same with OFF stance. the DMS proc should go from 4 times a min to 9 times a min after spendings the 5 AA points, not 4.9 times.

SOE you ask us to post feedback and post on these forums for balanced changes yet you ignore the brawlers and add arbitrary and useless changes to us. It's not hard to make us balanced. There is plenty of useful info in these forums that smart people have posted. Just read them plz.

If Anything - How about changing the AA to something remotely useful (I know it's a CRAZY idea)

**Increase Raidwide by a true 1 /rank -- Aka 5 Ranks we would have 14.x Casting sppeed on our Raid wide (AGAIN)

OR

AN AA that Added an effect of some kind to the MONK Raidwide, since ours was the only one that got nerfed AFAIK in TSO.

The base proc percent is 25%. When you spend 5 points the 25 goes to 30% chance normalized over 3 second delay. So in reality you are getting a 20% upgrade to the base percentage. The 0.9 isnt a percentage upgrade its how many additional procs per minute it added which the 5% additional corresponds to roughly 0.9 when rounded.

Following that logic then yes, 20% increase to the number of times it will proc per minute is indeed 0.9 procs per minute. But that does not make sense with the normalisation I thought was in place here and which the developers have explained in the past, so I remain confused here.

However, as you can plainly see, the number of procs per minute is 14 on live, which is around a 75% chance to proc per attack by the formula I remember.Continuing that vein of thought, this upgrade is in fact an effective 1-in-14 upgrade to the defensive stance. It's not impressive at all.

Now, as I recall, and correct me if I'm wrong here, the chance for an item to proc is usually roughly the same between 5% chance items and 1.8 ppm items - I remember items being converted from one to the other back during KoS.

So, why are we seeing such a small increase here? It looks broken to me.

Furthermore, and this is pretty important:You changed Mongoose stance because you gave us huge detaunts in offensive stance, making Mongoose irrelevant. You have since reversed this; I cannot test it while soloing on test, but it seems to me our aggro control while DPSing in offensive stance is worse than ever - and we cannot spec for Mongoose stance to mitigate that.

Honestly, give us the deaggros in offensive stance back (seeing how we as brawlers have three stances that would not be a problem for us really), or failing to re-implement that solution, change mongoose stance to offer some help with the aggro issues; this present state of this AA is sad as it is.

Personally I'de really like to see the taunts changed back into deaggros again. I never particularly liked mongoose stance, mainly because the deaggro on it was so small and didn't really scale with our damage enough to be remotely useful.

Adding 5% from the achievement should increase this to 55% or 11 PPM. As it is showing up as 10.9 PPM I'm guessing theres a small rounding error in there.

The OP saying he has a 14 PPM base rate probably has a buff or item thats increasing it further.

I was wondering about that. Should have logged in to test the proc rate, obviously. I'll amend that in the post above.

5% chance to proc, however, over 20 attacks per minute, does look about right if it results in 1.

I'd still call it fairly useless, though, at least in defensive stance.
