The Guild Fuel Merchant should sell to the toons automatically, similar to how the Supply Depot works.

If a toon does not have enough coin to purchase the fuel and supplies, then a "insufficient coin" message could be displayed instead of starting the combine.

Sadly, it would make life way easier for the crafting bots.

-Leucippus

If i had infinite fuel(as infinite as my coin) i might conceivably keep crafting until i spend all my cash. i cringe when i buy 1p worth of fuel off the vendor and it helps remind me to get out and adv a bit. Plus i can agree it would help bots, something which i am very much against.

Having a fuel vendor close by isnt that much of a problem. if its too far away(from your crafting station) ask it to be moved. One idea might be crafting stations in a circle, with fuel in the middle.

This sounds much like the "VIP Cards" you can get at a casino and use on the slots.. you slide it in in instead of dropping coins or cash.. and they refill off your credit card automatically when your balance gets below $10.. scary.

Hopefully your guild hall decorators put some thought into the placement of amenities. While I can't deny the convenience of not having to carry around my fuels, I doubt it's enough of an issue to change.

In our guild hall, everything for tradeskill is in one room and the fuel vendor is within easy reach for any crafter doing a rushorder who finds themselves fuel-less mid-order.

I kinda agree with the other posters.....too easy to lose track of how much money you have that way..... How long until merchants accept "debit" and have purchases automatically withdrawn from your bank? Heaven forbid!

Granted, the one time the guild leader came in to craft something, and couldn't find the dude because he was hidden behind my crafting station, she wasn't too pleased

I don't think they would ever do this. I'm sure a lot of people would not realize how this works and craft too much and not realize it's taking their gold and plat. Then will come mass petitions to get their money back, but you can't because it's been crafted (though you can just sell it but then what if you were using raws you bought). Raws that are generated by the game randomly into a box are one thing, automated money taking, not going to fly.

Also most people don't have trustee in guild halls, most guilds have only a few that are trustee.

If running toons out of coin unexpectedly is the concern, then add a check box to enable/disable purchasing from the Guild Fuel Merchant automatically.

Such a check box already exists to enable/disable the Supply Depot.

-Leucippus

I could see several work arounds and I like the idea...

A warning that your about to purchase fuel and a slider as to how much you would like.

Maybe an escrow account where you deposit a set amount to be allocated for fuel purchases.

Perhaps limiting the purchase to cash on hand, not coin in bank.

(yeah.....stolen from yet another lame Glade commercial)

In all seriousness, though, Just put the fuel merchant someplace convenient. And if your guild leader doesn't have the common sense to consider convenience when placing guild hall amenities, give them hell...(in mail....As a GL, I know how irritating 800 personal tells at once can be). lol.
