Shard armor question

<p>With the changes in tank mechanics is it going to be possible to exchange our dps shard gear for tank type gear?</p><p>In specific i crafted the ground granite armor for my paladin because the zealot armor has poor stats for dps, and  the set effects where poor for a paladin, why would i want a hate proc with amends. But after the changes i think the zealot armor will be the better tanking option for me .</p><p>So any chance we can finaly add a npc to trun in shard gear and recive other gear or our shards back?  I understand with crafters being able to use their shards to craft armor for people this could lead to people trading shards through crafting, but since they can craft almost everything except the raid gear and that only takes 3 shards to make its kind of a non issue.</p>

But after the changes i think the zealot armor will be the better tanking option for me .</p><p>So any chance we can finaly add a npc to trun in shard gear and recive other gear or our shards back?  I understand with crafters being able to use their shards to craft armor for people this could lead to people trading shards through crafting, but since they can craft almost everything except the raid gear and that only takes 3 shards to make its kind of a non issue.</p></blockquote><p>I think getting shards back is a little much (especially since they are heirloom flagging them, just imagine the chaos created by people or say "forget this my tank is done" take the shards and instantly gear an alt.)  I could see a "shoulder piece for shoulder piece kinds thing etc.  I did something similar with my zerker.  I did a 3 and 3 between the Ground Granite and Heroic because a zerkers aggro management was dps bassed largely and there was the additional shield block.  Now it appears the extra dps will be bupkis for tanking (instances at least) since I will need to be in defensive stance.  Since I will not be helping burn the mob down as fast I was in the past I really need to basically turn into a meat shield to help my healers keep me standing better because the fights are going to be longer.</p><p>I am NOT thrilled with this but know I have to live it.  However since we were not told how sweeping these changes would be in advance many gear choices are now obsolete and down right dangerous.  It would be nice (since Fyreflyte already admitted that Aeralik did not keep him in the loop of any of the tank changes) since some gear was actually changed after release, which has already screwed people anyway, if we would be given such an opportunity.</p><p>Fyreflyte already suggested "call a GM... they can help you".  People did and the GM's response was "sorry SOE has not given me the mechanism to help you."    Since Fyreflyte is SOE in terms of itemization he then needs to do something.  Either a short term exchange vendor OR tell the freakin GM's "if a tank calls and says I need to swap shard armor pieces A,B and C...do it."</p>

<p>aye i tried the patition route and they where extreamly nice to me but said they are not in any shape or form aloud to refund shards or swap gear around. and suggested i use the feedback system to remind the designers that we ned soem kind of shard armor swap mechanic. I mean i only had 3 granit but all with melee crit and DA but no defence or agresion, now i need those stats and zelot has the stats for tanking. </p>
