So this is my concern. My wife and I have been playing since shortly after launch. We've primarily duoed the entire time, and we've tried pretty much every combination imaginable.

As it turned out, the combo that we enjoy the most is my Paladin and her Monk. Turns out, those two are the right mix of dps, tanking, and healing to be very survivable as a duo. With these guys, we're able to take on mobs and dungeons that would be very difficult with some of our other duo combination.

My question (for folks that have tested the coming changes, or folks that know a lot about them)...

What impact do you think this change will have on a Paladin that duos with a Monk for at least 80% of his playtime?

For easier stuff, you can stay in offensive and if the mob ping-pongs between you, it really shouldn't be a big deal. For harder stuff, you go defensive and you'll find that you'll be very sticky; I don't think you'll have any problem holding aggro, and defensively you'll actually get a bit of a boost (+parry was added to the defensive stance).

I tested a duo with a monk when taunts were still deaggros and it was very enjoyable as we got to determine who would tank. I'm not sure how much the loss of deaggros will affect that, but I think you'll be fine especially since the monk can give you 5% hate when you are tanking. You will of course need to dodge buff when he is tanking to cancel that out.
