I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it is broken but our Tsunami does not work against ranged attacks from the front but if it is a ranged attack from anyother quadrant it will be parried. This is silly that I have to turn my back to a ranger for my Tsunami to work but if I am facing him I get hit??? I know that the description says 100% Riposte of "melee" from the front and ALL other attacks are parried from other quadrants. This parry needs to be applied to ALL quadrants. I understand that we cant "riposte" a ranged attack but we should be able to PARRY the attack. I mean if a PVP parry belt can parry ranged attacks why cant our Tsunami do the same?

DEVS if you ever read this stuff please fix this silly issue.

I believe this has been an issue for quite a long time. As it stands it largely negates our defensive abilites vs ranged opponents. This is one of several reasons that I'd rather fight two or three other players than one blue con ranger. Kind of a stupid oversight imo.

With your logic then they need to make the PVP parry belt useless as well against ranged attacks. Besides this is a MMO computer game, there is no such thing as realistic. So not only should I be able to Parry the arrows I should also catch them and throw them back as wel as be able to fly. /sarcasm off. Honestly if you have nothing constructive to say then stay out of my post.

EDIt: this was directed to elphantomRU

I'm guessing I would parry it the same way you break out of those magical hands that come out of the ground and hold you there. It's called IMAGINATION..

If Mr. Miyagi can catch an arrow coming at him, I'm sure sony could have fix tsunami to slap some arrows away.

If anyone thinks that to parry an arrow is far fetched, but resisting LAVA!!!! in lavastorm is realistic then you are truly stupid.

I tested out tsunami the other night against a ranger and when I turned my back to him i parried every bow shot, but when I faced him i got hit by every shot... Let me say that again I PARRIED ALL THE BOW SHOTS WHEN MY BACK WAS TURNED AND GOT HIT BY THEM WHEN I FACED HIM!!! This really needs to be fixed STAT!! I'm not asking to RIPSOTE the bow shot but make the frontal quadrant against ranged attacks 100% parry as well.

Yah, this has been a bug for a very long time... and it has never really bothered me because (I play on a PvE server) a ranger can never get far enough away from me in the dueling ring that i can't get close enough to him and stun him... but the same thing happens with the guardian mythical, making them immune to ripostes... if you are dueling a mythacalled guardian you need to turn your back to them to avoid attacks with tsunami as well... which is just dumb.

They need to fix Tsunami to make it parry 100% all quadrants with a 100% chance to riposte melee attacks from the front... the broken mechanic is that the parry is only the non-frontal quadrants, since most of the time riposte works as a parry as well, however with certain things like this it makes it not work that way.

This is also the reason why we need to go into combat when training with tsunami, since you cannot riposte unless you are engaged in combat... so you must engage yourself in combat, then train away so you don't take hits when the mobs are in front of you... just dumb.

I thought it was only supposed to ward against melee attacks. I'll re-read it again when in game.

I have a couple questions. Brigand 6 second stun. Is this a spell, range attack or melee? Tsunami doesn't seem to work against this, and I have been wondering what's up.

What is this parry belt I keep reading about? Someone link it for me please? Thank you.
