DOn't get me wrong, I like the class. I like it alot. I'm an efficient killer and found that leveling up to 20 took me less than 3 days of raw work. Most of this I spent while I was still in the *trial* game, and had to make alts, as I could not advance her any.

The cycle of rotation I use is quick an easy:

I open with a stealth attack, move quickly into chain attack, then stun them, move around behind for a flank attack (that puts me back in stealth), Stealth attack again and finish them off with a chain attack again. Again, as I said, quick and efficient.

However, as I've been leveling, I've seen tons and tons of messages of Norrath is still as Soandso of <whatsthatguildsnameagain> recieves [Epic]. Its all well and fascinating, but, not once have I seen an assassin epic, in the whole 14 days I played prior to subbing.

Now, my concern is, are assassins desirable at high levels? I know I have alot of damage, but it just doesn't seem like I've seen alot of mdps classes getting epics. I've seen clerics and wizards, even dirges and bards, but no assassins. DO we fall off somewhere between level 20 and 80? Is there no real need for an assassin?

As I said, of all the classes I've played, I like the assassin for the high damage output. The wizard is a close second, and only reason is that she isn't nearly as fast as my 'sin at killing. Is there cause to be concerned?

This week we sold the following

1 Necro Update3 Assasin Updates1 Brigand2 Dirges3 Berzerkers2 Wardens1 Defiler1 Illusionist1 Ranger1 Monk

We have never, ever sold a bruiser mythical update. Apparently they're not played / desired at all.

Assasins are desired at end game, though most guilds are not recruiting them, like MT's they're a core part of the raid and guilds tend to hold on to them.

You can't really base it off those messages for a lot of reasons.

You may want to use your stun after the initial stealth attack so it recycles faster. The assassin is a very solid class and people expect a lot out of it because of that. If you hit eighty, play at least at an above average level, and actually socialize then you won't have any problems getting your mythical.
