Question: When you have seen everything, know most of the strats and got most of the items you want, where does the fun in this game come from?

Answer: Comparing your current parse to your last parse and trying to improve upon it.

How do we measure how well we are doing? Currently there is only a few things you can really measure with the parser... DPS....Heals.... and soon to be Threat.

Trying to maximize your healing and your DPS makes sence because its what helps win the fight. But parseing your threat does not have the same flair because once you are generateing enough threat to hold the mob on you trying to generate more threat is pointless because the mob is already on you. And that is no fun.

Here is my Idea:

Can we introduce a system that helps the parser pick up the dammage that we mitigate and the dammage that we avoid and the dammage stopped with stoneskins and all that stuff?

That will actaually give the tank something to work on since it is obvious that SOE does not want tanks to worry about thier DPS while tanking.

If you want us to worry about reduceing INC dammage then give us a system to measure our effectivness by.

I would love to be able to compare a gaurdians tanking parse to a zerkers tanking parse so i can finally shut them up and proove that they are much more powerful tank then they make it out to be =).

They could do that. Or revert the changes back to live and go back to the drawing board.

oh and BTW im fully aware that ACT currently is able to give a "Avoidance Report" but it is very limited in what it shows you

I'd like to see the dammage mitigated by my armor and the dammage that i reduced from Item wards and stuff like that.

There is already a way to gauge your effectiveness fo holding agro, count the dead wizzies and assasins. As far as gauging how well you took damage, another simple solution, when you are out of combat at the end of the fight, check to see if you are dead or the mob. If it is you, you did not mitigate/block enough damage, if it is the mob, then congratulations, you did do enough. Now let me keep tanking in offensive stance
