I have a lvl 67 Mystic and while he has been fun and not too hard to level, I was wondering if there are some opinions out there on how to properly spec for soloing as opposed to raiding/grouping. I would like to know :

1) How to set up my aa's to be effective in each setting. More dps for soloing, and geared towards healing and curing for raids and groups.

2) What is the proper way to cast my damage spells in soloing to get more bang for my buck.

3) What are casting tendencies for the raiding mystics as opposed to mystics in groups.

I haven't really grouped much with this toon except for grouping with my friends 80 guardian. One 6 person group was in COI and we had a couple higher guys mentored down, but we only had one wipe. I am just conceerned about power usage, over healing?, and keeping everyone alive in groups and raids.

What is the basic strategy of healers in raids, what are they expected to do group or raid wise, and what not?

Any help would be appreciated.

Elbrynham

67 Mystic, Nektulos Server

Harm's Way Guild

Raid / Group:

Shaman:

STR: 4/4/6/8/2

WIS: 4/6/4/8/2

AGI: 4/4/4/8

Augmenting: Minor Auspice 5, Spirit of the Bull 5, Shadowy Attendant 3, Avatar 5, Bolster 5, Oberon 5, Ancestry

Resurrections: Res Restoration 5, Res Haste 5, Res Range 5, Res Cycles 5, Spirit Dance

Shadow:

General - Power 5, Mount Speed 5

Priest - Litany of Combat 5, Prayer of Healing 5, Protective Prayer 5, Supplication of the Fallen

Shaman - Tribal Frenzy 5, Kindred Restoration 5, Prophetic Spirit 5

Mystic - Infusion of Spirit 5, Spiritual Salvation 5, Ritual of Protection (2)

Haven't really found a need for a solo spec on my Mystic. If I'm playing him, it's because of MT Defiler is unavailable, so I'm pretty much going to be in a situation where DPS isn't terribly relevant.

Buy a mirror and get yourself 2 specs. Insofar as AA is concerned all you really need to do is convert your damage spells to CAs. That way you get higher dps AND you end up saving a fair bit of money not having to upgrade those spells, especially at t8. The rest of your AA spec is pretty well documented elsewhere on this forum. Unfortunately the Mystic tree ends up fairly "meh" towards the end when you have to choose between rez augmentations or debateable cure augmentations. Take my advice and fill up the shadow tree first before deciding where to put those last few AAs.

HO with the two slow refreshing CA's. Finish it off with the two fast CA's, they should have refreshed by now. Solo-mob dead.

Hardcore soloing on heroics is different sometimes. Depends on mobs and location. Usually more debuffing and some techniques to let dog grab aggro. That way your inbetween wards dont get interrupted. Really situational and depening on your items.
