Reeling in LvL 80s LFM on 70-79 Chat

<p>Greetings:  Are you tired of having characters look for players (for RE2 as example) on 70-79 Chat Channel?  When you reply, do you get the response ' sorry hun, we need a level 80 mezzer, your to low'?  I get the feeling grouping for enjoyment at other levels than UBER is becoming non-existant and no fun.  Level 80 chars - use your 80 chat channel if your recruiting uber level 80 players!  (Wiggles finger) Have some manners and spine instead of slopping up 'seconds' in the 70-79 channel because your p*Ciy^ hurts and your waiting too long to get started.  So there you have it <and> take it like the uber 80 you are!  Stop LFM in 70-79 unless you mean it!  Bonzo, AB, 76 Gnome Chanter Extraordinaire.  Have a nice day. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" />        </p>

<p>On a side note use <strong>/channellist</strong> people.  Too often I see people LFM for high level zones in the level 1-9 chat, or people spam marcos in some other random channel.</p>

<p>Its gotta be said on my server the 80 channel is very quiet, all the chatting goes on in 70-79, therefore people will ask for groups there cos they are much more likely to get a response.</p>

<p>People use level 1-9 to recruit high-level people because if I'm on my low-level alt I can see someone recruiting in 1-9 that my level 80 main may be interested in. If level chat channel access were account-based rather than character-based, this wouldn't be an issue.</p>

Kinda funny that this is even an issue being that there is a /lfg function where you can look for groups and look for people that are lfg if u are forming one. But people would rather go with the ol chat channels of ye oldern times (myself included).

But I still use the chat channels to let people know I'm looking for a group, because it makes sense to "advertise" using as many methods as possible. In any event, like you said, it's what most people do.</p><p>I confess that I don't generally like to "form" groups, as I'm not much of a leader.</p>

<p>The only server chat I have open is level 80 and world-wide guardian. Usually 70-79 and 1-9 is filled with spam and discussions about stupid things I could care less about. I only advertise when I am /lfg once or twice in level 80 chat and I put my /lfg tag up. If someone wants me to tank for them they can find me on the /lfg window.</p>
