View Full Version : Could we get notified each time the test server code is changed?

<p>Could we get notified each time the test server code is changed?</p><p>If we were notified, then we would know when to log back into the test server and check things out.</p><p>Even if there are no "patch notes", not really a patch on the test server after all, it would still be useful to know that something has changed.</p><p>-Leucippus</p>

<p>They seem to be reading the feedback I am giving, based on one change I have found.</p><p>However, there is no way to know for sure when changes have been made to the Test server.</p><p>-Leucippus</p>

I knowin OFFENSE the penalty to DEFENSE is way too high for soloers and duos -- it needs to be lowered.</p><p>This will be forced on us and it will take another couple of GU's to get it modified. Instead of starting off with less radical changes, Aeralik applies the sledge hammer up front. These changes should go in slowly to see how each one works out. Not pile the whole thing on and then after every one is messed up having to modify it.</p>

Not pile the whole thing on and then after every one is messed up having to modify it.</p></blockquote><p>Dude...O_o</p><p>I never noticed it.  I run with a Warden who's Instinct gives a good boost to those in def.  Also, when solo, Pheep's on her LoN rhino which gives +5 to crush/slash/pierce.  And on top of that, down the Wis line is Battle Leadership which also raises crush/pierce/slash.</p><p>So with all of the above, Pheep's never dropped below 400 skill at L80.  In def stance I think she's 416 with Battle Leadership, I'll have to check.</p>

Not pile the whole thing on and then after every one is messed up having to modify it.</p></blockquote><p>I am not on to check, but if I am not very wrong the defense stat penalty on offensive stance is the same as it was on live....they DID add parry to that though (this results in a lose of avoidance only).  I havent heard about a hard cap being imposed in stances, since nothing else in game uses a hard cap in the 400 range (for level 80's) like that....I would have to see it to believe it I suppose....but if thats true I doubt it will make it off test server.</p><p>The offensive stance is definatly not a nerf to solo'ers....duo'ers might be at this point but for solo it is a clear cut and dry answer...it is NOT a nerf I was killing as fast or faster, and others have shared the exact same feeling solo'ing in offensive stance.</p><p>The changes all depend on each other, and putting a defensive change in before offensive change or vice versa would be pointless. No one would use the changed one anyway, which in turn means any change would not get tested until both were in anyway.</p>

<p>Okay, just got numbers off Pheep in Test Copy.</p><p>Off stance adds 42 to crush, slash, pierce.</p><p>In off stance: crush & slash 480, pierce 485.  With the rhino, add 5.</p><p>Def stance decreases by 20.</p><p>In def stance: crush & slash 418, pierce 423.  With the rhino, add 5.</p><p>Battle Leadership is rank 8, adds 38 pts to crush/slash/pierce/ranged.  So when in def stance that -20 must come from the base of 438 Pheep has due to BL, which is where the 418 comes from, if my math and assumption is right.</p><p>The extra to pierce comes from Street Thug, Ratonga racial which gives +5 to pierce and 2% melee crit chance.</p><p>Instinct, Warden skill buff, gives +69 to crush, pierce, slash, ranged.</p><p>Eesh, no wonder I never noticed.  O_o</p><p>Edit: forgot the Defense...off stance -384, def stance 432, no stance 404.  Gauntlets of Sanctification give +4 def.</p>

<p>If there's no official annoucement regarding hard caps, I wouldn't worry about it yet.  It's entirely possible those caps are in atm for testing pruposed.  The best thing to do, rather than speculate, is jump on test and play with gear and abilities, do some soloing, duoing and grouping.</p><p>I just hope everyone moderates their feedback with common sense.  OMG, OMG, this is so HARD types of posts have been instrumental in the dumbing down of the game to where my six year old runs all over the world doing whatever six year old's do when they're running amok.</p>
