Just curious, how are most SK approaching the void armor? Are you buying all the T1 pieces and then turning around and buying the T2, or do you save up enough to buy a piece of T2 all at once and then move to the next piece.

The reason I ask is that he T1 stuff does not seem to be all that much better than what I have managed to loot and/or buy. Whereas the T2 stuff seems better. I have 20 something shards right now and could buy a better piece of armor from T2 (buy the T1 and immediately turn it and the remaining shards in for the T2). But I could only get 1 piece of T2.

Also, is anyone mixing the sets, i.e. getting the Void Knight and the other set (don't remember the name). Looks like you can get 3 of each and get a decent bonus.

Just curious?

My recomedation of several options...

If it improves your mit and is an up grade buy the Zealot one at a time.

Save and buy Zealot 5 set bonus for +5 mitigation increase and the Void Knight shoulders for +3 mitigation increase (for a total of +8 )and you will have 5600 mitigation then save for the 5 set Void Knight set bonus and have a total +10 mitigation increase. The stats are a bonus and in this expansion mitigation is important.

Some will mix and get the Holy Knight shoulders for the extra dps

For me I didn't hit 80 until TSO so it's pretty much all an upgrade. The mit bonuses are really nice. I'll probably wear at least 5 pieces until I get all the t2. And probably just mix 1 of the t2 pieces then just wait til I get the full set.

I currently have the full set of T2 void shard armor(one piece just for the apperance). For me it made sense to get a few pieces of the T1 to start, think I grabed the gloves first, and then the shoulder second. Mainly got those two because they were upgrades. Then I saved up enough shards to get boots to t2, and at the same time upgrade the gloves and the shoulders, so I would get the 3 set bonus. After that I just saved up enough to buy chest and helm t2 pieces since the t1 was not an upgrade.

As for mixing the sets, I would say you would be crazy to do that. The reason being the 5 piece bonus is huge on the t2 armor. With the shoulders and the 5 piece you get +10 mit. What that does is it upgrades the mitigation of every piece of armor you wear. So all those t2 void shard pieces you have are now worth 703 mit (if I rember right) instead of 535mit. I have the hate hardend greaves from SoH which are now 897mit instead of 710mit. I might trade some of these pieces out for fabled drops, but they have to be really good pieces for me to do that since I would be losing alot of mit.

If the t1 stuff is a clear upgrade then simply buy one at a time. Then I would upgrade one item to stop the 5 piece bonus being dropped off the t1 set, until you can afford another 2 of the t2 items then do that so that you have two 3 piece bonus' and then again wait until you can afford another two t2 pieces to finally get the 5 piece t2 bonus. Naturally, get the 6th piece as and when.

More importantly, get whatever pieces you don't intend to actively wear in your appearance slots, we have an obligation as SK's to look cool ......

Anyone got a shot of the full set? Like, what do the mit and bonuses look like when the T1 set is all together?

One of the things that I think the devs need to look into regarding the Void armor is the loss of the 5 set piece bonus as you upgrade to T2.

I decided to buy 5 pieces of the T1 armor, skipped the legs b/c I had something better. Now as I move to upgrade to T2, I will lose a large Mitagation bonus from dropping below 5 pieces.

I am planning on getting the T2 legs, since they are better, then wearing the rest of the T1 until I can get at least 3 pieces of T2 (even considered until I get 5 pieces of T2).

I wish you got to keep the T1 mit 5 piece set bonus as you add new T2 pieces. Guess that would be over powered though. Oh, well.
