I found something strange this weekend about the "Protective Prayer" line for healers, and after reading a post on Flames I tested it out to see about the mitigation not stacking if two healers within the same group utilize Protective Prayers.

With our templar, and guardian only in a group... I respecced the Shadows tree, and our Templar has 5 points allocated within this line. We took down the tanks base number before the buffs were applied. Then we buffed (still me w/o points in that AA) to get the mitigation value. Then cancelled my Shroud of Armor, and placed 1 point within Protective Prayer. When I recast the buff, and had the guard look at his persona stats again we noticed that the numbers did not go up???

I already bug reported this since this is a healer thing and not specific to a sub/class. You would think that with the healer tree the overlap would be permitted to happen since the healer line was intended for all of us healer types.

Granted now I dropped protective prayer and our Templar will be using that AA, but I would think that would be another AA to look at not just for us, but for all healers as a whole.

Anyways you wanna talk with your second healer if you raid (or regulary group with the same healer) to see how they are specced within the healer tree as you may be wasting AA points that would be better allocated elsewhere.

Before you look at reallocation talk with your healer(s) and see what their base+bonus is on the mitigation. For me it was beneficial for me to drop it over the Templar since I still need Shroud of Armor as my final master, and his value was much higher than mine.
