Ok, with all the hate and discontent in this section of the forum I thought mroe people would have done a /testcopy add to try the new changes. But it seems people are content to let others do the /feedback. I logged in to the test copy server today (albeit for the first time) and did a /who all. There were only 19 people on the whole server.

If you want your voice to be heard /testcopy over, test the changes out and submit your feedback. Otherwise you have no right whatsoever to whine a complain about the changes that do go live.

As it is, I have to resort to begging friends on live who aren't directly affected by this update to do a /testcopy and ty and meet up with them at some time to test things out. I have yet to be able to run any instances or fight anything harder than a solo mob on the test server, and I think that is where most of these changes will seriously affect fighters.

Maybe, just maybe a heretic thought.

Could it be, that many people don't take the work to test intensive on testcopy, as SOE has a rather bad history of implementing such major changes and not a good record of listening to the community?

For example, with such a big change,

it would be nice to get access to the aggro calculations done by the devs. So we could compare their calculations with those things we could test.

For example...

why are there no more things like the kunzar wall, areas where we can test under identical situations.

For example...

if you want to test something in science, you start with defining the test. The lack of standartised tests and tools to record the test hampers all efforts. Like an instance with 100x identical mobs and after the zone you get the values for heals, dps, aggro rips, deaths etc.

I tested it on my 33 zerker but theres only so much a 33 can test.. lol

the only way things are gonna get tested is with a Buffer and SoE refuses to put one on test so /shrugs..

(and as Faegalad said, SoE rarely listens to the community, so testing is kinda pointless other than /bug reports)

This is why this sledge hammer approach that development has taken will not work and is really creating discontents.

FYI, I did do a /testcopy for several of my characters, and I am still waiting for them to be copied over. Just a guess but I think more people are in the same situation.

yes i've tried doign testcopy /add on my bruiser and dirge, and so far neither has been copied. I find it hard to test chagnes on a character without having access to the changes on that character. If you want us to test this stuff, get them to do the copies?

From the test client, try creating a completely new character on Test Copy from character select. Log into the new character and then camp to character select.

I'm not sure why it works, but I know a few folks who had to do that in the past to get copied characters to show up. I hope it works for you as well.
