2k or so, look to upgrade your weaps as soon as you can, do your epic quest, most of it is soloable.

Sounds about right for what you have.

Note that monks will do a lot more damage from autoattack than from CAs, so for improved dps it's good to beef up your STR (more damage) and to time your CAs. If you spam CAs with high haste you may reduce your overall dps as autoattacks are delayed by the CAs. One way to help yourself learn how to time CAs is to get ACT to beep every time you autoattack, bit like a musical metronome, to act as a cue for the CAs.

Obviously Ad3 and M1 CAs will help, but monks tend to benefit more from +dps bonuses than +haste (because we hit soft or hard caps on +haste quick early) and more from +double attack items than +melee crit.

Obviously group buffs will help you a lot - a dirge is good for us, as are coercers for their +dps buff. If you get an illu in the group beg for Illusory Arm

Edit: oh and of course your AA spec will matter. What do you have currently? STR is now very viable for example.

Good luck!
