I recently, after months of waiting, picked up the Ethereal Mist Gauntlets but I’ve been completely under whelmed by their healing.

I’m a MT Temp and my guild took down Xebnok last night in a 14 min fight. In that fight, which wasn’t easy, my EMGs only did 1% of my total healing and virtually never seemed to proc. I did check other fights and that average was pretty consistent. It’s frustrating to see those gloves do so little, given how long I waited for them to drop.

I knew that OLH got nerfed, but is that also true about the Gauntlets? In comparison, my runic cover pants which are considered mediocre, did 6% of my healing which seemed appropriate.

Any suggestions as to why the gloves don’t seem to be making much of a difference? If this continues it may be worth switching back to the VP set piece.

Thanks!

The proc is currently bugged. A fix is on test and will go live in GU51.

There is a "fix" to the original "fix" on test, so there is a glimer of hope that these previously super sexy healer items will again become more than just rare paper weights. Stay tuned... course if they are good again hopefully no one tells the devs so they don't destroy them again....

I picked up those gauntlets just over a week ago and my parses show them doing anywhere from 13 to 22% of my total healing.

I keep an eye on my buff window and I see these things proccing a LOT. I am assuming that Sony fixed whatever bug there was.

Just a tip you may already know...the Runed Guard of the Sel'Nok (http://www.lootdb.com/eq2/item/-1297514009) will help your gear proc 25% more often and may make those shoulders more valuable to you...along with any other proc'ing gear - just have to have faction with the Sel'Nok in JW to buy it...just a tip...

Have Fun!!Doob

I have the jade pauldrons and the VP sdhoulders. Want benefit is it to wear the vp shoulders to get the 4pc set bonus vs 3 pcs and the jade pauldrons?

I would think the Shard T2 shoulders would be better than either of those. there is really no reason to be wearing more than 2 peices of VP set (at least during encounters ><

Yeah, the 8% to base heals is the best choice, IMO.

Currently, I wear the VP boots and VP leggings, as well as the TSO gauntlets (words cannot describe how irritated that the Ethereal Mist Gauntlets, in all the time SoH has been out, have *NEVER* dropped in the 1-2 runs per week of that zone I've been doing since it was released) and TSO bracers.

Because the 2-set bonuses from the TSO and VP set stack, it's the best combination I've got. I've also got the TSO boots, but until I get either my leggings from Gynok or my shoulders from Zarrakon/Mynzak, this is the best combo.

For straight healing, there's no real way you should be wearing more than the boots and bracers from the VP set, unless you're doing like what I explained above, and juggling gear to get the bonuses (or soloing).

That said, the Jade paulrons aren't BAD, but I'll take 8% to base heals over a relatively small lotto ward any day of the week. The Rune Etched Helm is a different story. I'll take that off once you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

Well my raiding toon was a ranger because we had 4 templars in the guild. I would use shards on this toon to make stuff for my ranger on another acount. Now things have changed and I am the MT healer with 1 other templar and inq. So i need to get the items going. However all the temps and other classes have the first 2 tso set pcs so I should have no competition getting those pieces.
