View Full Version : Two set bonus on TSO PvP gear is bugged. PLEASE READ DEVS!

Okay, I finally managed to get my second piece of the TSO PvP gear which states that Deathly Blade has a recast reduction of 32 seconds. First off, Deathly Blade is the Tier 7 version of the CA, which is replaced by the Tier 8 CA Mortal Blade. Was it intended for us to revert back to our Tier 7 Deathly Blade and stop using Mortal Blade?

Also, after testing this on a training dummy, I found that if I used Deathly Blade first, the recast for Mortal Blade would be lowered as well. However, if I used Mortal Blade, the recast for Deathly Blade is at 2 minutes (the normal time while being specced down the STR line), which negates that 2 piece set bonus altogether.

On top of THAT, it states a 32 second re-use time reduction, but actually only decreases it by 30 seconds.

Can anyone confirm that this is the way it was intended to be? I've been looking forward to the 2 set bonus and it almost seems useless at this point.

PLEASE CONFIRM!!

The deathly blade thing is a bug. It should be the t8 version.

The recast thing is normal, when you cast a CA, it applies the recast of the spell you cast to the entire CA line.

The 32 seconds being 30 seconds is also normal, albeit stupid. You cant reduce a spells recast to under 1/2 the original value. (3min - 2min from Str line, 2min - 1min28seconds from the bonus, but since thats under half, it stays at 1min30seconds)

Our Devs/GMs seem to be a lil lax in here (no offense) But we don't make much noise or complain alot...Best thing to do is /feedback it and /petition it as well to bring it to their attention the fastest. Also, going to the Developers Round Table Forum helps from time to time.

Thanks for pointing this out. It's now fixed and should be part of the gu51 update.

I love how quickly issues get resolved with the assassin class. I see the developers post within days and with a fix for said problem.

Why can't summoners get any red names to address the multitude of problems that we have? Maybe everyone should roll Assassins!!!!

(( or maybe they could stop fixing the game in general, and how about not making any new content? That would make everyone equally angry instead of appeasing just some of them.. but it would be fair right?

Whenever there is a fix, for any class, item, zone or issue, there is always some way people can put a spin on it and make the devs look like villains.

Honestly.

It's not that it shouldn't be fixed, it's the priority of which certain classes get their issues resolved and how other classes seem to be ignored. Tank classes are now outparsing summoners. It's that bad yet nobody at SoE will even address it since assassins have to top the parse and need to stay #1!!!!!!!!!

This isn't a matter of class balance. It's a simple bug on a piece of gear that needed to be changed. I'm sure if I'd posted something about how the assassin class needs this or that it wouldn't have gotten any response at all. It's simply a piece of gear.

I was simply referring to the fact that the devs don't even bother with summoners it seems. Read the necro forums about our T2 Shard robe. We have roughly 9 pages of postings and can't even get a dev to comment about leaving the item in game(until they get around to fixing necros) or if they are going to "adjust" it so that necros can stay in the toilet.

Perhaps our Assn Dev is much better

It could work, I actually tank as an assn and tank better than some plate tanks But have to have good healers thou, but I digress...

You wrote this post. So assassins can tank AND have the highest DPS? Perhaps you're Overpowered? Perhaps if you kiss more developer behind you'll postpone getting your class gimped.

A little less "my class can kick your class's butt" and a little more "yay it's fixed" if you please dears

Maybe you might want to consider that this was possibly a simple code fix, while your summoner pet and spell stacking issues are not. If you keep slamming the devs for responding in a positive fashion to an issue, why on earth do you think they will respond to your concerns at all? If you want a wall of silence from the devs, you are going the right way about it. If you want to foster good relationships with devs (or anyone for that matter) you need to be respectful and understand that they are not magicians and cant fix everything with a wave of a wand. Some things are just more complex than you know. And yes, I know I play an Assassin, and you will think that this is a fanboi comment - I can assure you that I have my fair share of issues with this game, and I play more than one class... including a summoner.

An answer like "ok when we have fixed the tanks, we will get working on summoners, this might take xxx days/weeks from now on".

Maybe they should even work together with the classes they are working on, we are the ones playing this game day by day and I bet if they would listen to our input and what problems we have, it would be much more satisfying than not receiving an answer at all.

I'm getting the impression we have a few summoners who are closet assassins
