Thank you for the sharing.

It looks like we have a slightly better uncontested avoidance on our defensive. It's a postive change since plate tanks get better shields in the new expansion. With the new change, we can be on par with plate tanks in uncontested avoidance.

Just a note that the proc dehate on Flow Like Wind (under the Dragon Strike section) is from the Mongoose Stance achievement ability. If you do not take that achievement, you will only have the heat damage proc.

Another one:

Current peel:

Peel in offensive stance on test:

Very interesting. For 10 seconds, the mob must target you, yet you are 5 spots down the hate list, and bleeding hate. Then you have to be careful because you have 20 seconds of fairly serious hate gain. It should still function well enough - peel, tsunami, change stance, then rescue - keep hate while the tank gets up or regains aggro.

Didn't they say where were going to do something that would make changing stances midfight really undesirable? I still wonder what that means, perhaps a Debuff on us when we cancel a stance or something.

Good improvements so far.

Did you guys notice that our offensive stance on test server only increases 48 weapon skills and on live servers, it's 55? I have bugged it and please do it when you are on test server.

The screenshot above shows it as being 53 for offensive skills.

The skills Consummate Defender and Offensive Prowess have been changed from providing 1% increase per rank, to providing a straight 1 point increase per rank.

What I want to know is why they took away the Chakra line and absorbed it into the stances. Before, we had a strength and wisdom buff that always applied at a flat rate. Now, the strength and wisdom we get varies by which stance we use. That's not really fair..

And what about the Mid-stance? I use that to tank. I don't use off Stance to tank, but the Mid-stance should still have an agro buff on it. Otherwise, what's the point in using it at all?

Couple of additional observations from test (from memory, so may be a bit off):

1) When in defensive stance and mid stance, any CA/abilities with threat modification are positive - that is, they increase threat. When in offensive stance, they are negative.

2) The threat generation ability of the abandoned shard armor set's hate proc (3 pieces equiped) is increased in defensive stance.

3) Rescue is also affected by defensive stance, providing a much larger threat increase (about 10K ) than when not in the other stances (about 7K.)

A lot will still depend on who you have in your group, whether you have a dirge, or certain other buffers, but we'll just have to see how it pans out.

If they were to stop us changing stances in combat that would be disastrous, but there's no sign of that happening despite earlier rumours, thank heavens.
